A few words from Heikki Sandell, well known metalhead and current CEO of Calavera Engineering:

"It is an honour to present our new car, the besta-fera. As you might infer, the name means bestial or ferocious beast.
This car is very special as it is the work of almost ten years, and we kept true to our roots, dishing turbos or all wheel drive. We are pushing the boundaries on what our traditional set-up can do, and we can say it is the fastest production Natural Aspirated Rear Wheel Drive car.

Our goal was to compete with KHT, and when we started the project in 2006 it seemed an easy task, then as the years passed by, new competitors appear, and more power was needed to compete, which mean to re-engineer the engine, passing from 400hp to 500hp to 600 and so on. And as you know, it’s balls hard and expensive to get more power without the use of fat and heavy turbos.

Finally this year, with the arrival of cars from Dimension, KHT, GG, DSD, Erin, Ventura and our namesake Cavallera, we decided it is time to unveil our love child to the world. It may lack raw power, that’s for sure, but the experience of a roaring racing NA V8 at your back with instantaneous response and low weight powering only the rear wheels, belive me, can’t be matched by the competence."
