The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

probably your aero setting maybe? or could be your power/torque curve

also your car doesnt meet minimum requirement of comfort i think(24.1 instead 25)

In 2001, the 2nd generation of Kimura's tall-roof hatchback was released, the Cavatina. The one that we believe interests Enry the most is the LXi 2.0 model, which is a mid-trim naturally aspirated model. With a 148 Horsepower sport-tuned 2.0 Liter 4-Cylinder, trendy looks, and suspension tuned by KST (Kimura Sports Team), the Cavatina is sure to grab attention.

A 0-60 time of under 8 and a half seconds is nothing to scoff at, aided by a slick 6-speed manual transmission. All of this performance leads to a still impressive 7.0 L/100 KM in real life driving, unlike most ratings seen by modern cars. 15" Alloy wheels are standard as well as 6 airbags including side curtain airbags to protect you and your 4 passengers. Even so, weight is kept under a svelte 1200 kgs.

Kimura. When practicality meets passion.

Like the look of your entry - I was also planning to build a hot hatch disguised as a commuter bubble, only to realize it wasnā€™t sporty enough and built a small rear-drive coupe instead.

Here is my great white hope for a second victory, lol!

2006 Bogliq Coyote Entrance (pronounced N-Trans)

Why buy a car from the 20th Century when you can have one designed and built in the 21st? Presenting the Bogliq Coyote Entrance!!!

This example is a rare, pure base model build: Yup, no rear seats, basic interior and basic stereo! The previous owner wanted to save money and he specced his Coyote accordingly. You could buy this car then, when you had the time and cash, buy a rolled Action Express or Street Sport, swap the good bits into this car and then youā€™ll have power to burn!

Yes, weā€™re aware that this car isnā€™t fast, or powerful, or prestigious, but itā€™s got excellent engineering, top shelf tech AND, because it comes from Moldova, it has oodles of character!!!

Buy it today and youā€™ll not regret it!!!

Buy better, buy Bogliq

top shelf tech is an OHC valvetrainā€¦ iā€™m not even gonna question thatā€¦

Some might even remember driving the Cavatina.

Love how you made the Cavatina look as if it were in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec and gave it a description to match! It surely would have made a great first carā€¦ unless you had the PAL version, in which case you could complete the whole of GT Concept Tokyo-Geneva (a standalone game for that region) beforehand and add 10 million (no, this is not a typo) credits to your GT3 save file, thus allowing you to buy something much faster instead - like a Pagani Zonda C12S (for the record, it was the first game featuring that car most of us, myself included, had played)ā€¦ Anyway, why did you submit a hatchback for this round instead of a coupe?

Yup, I always put my old stuff I might find a use for later on the top shelf! :stuck_out_tongue:

There is Direct injection in there plus VVTi-L so it isnā€™t THAT outdatedā€¦

#2001 Mott Works Apollo

Powered by a high performance and high economy 1L inline 4 this hot city car is the car for you. Making 122hp and 80lb-ft of torque you can go from 0-60 in just 7.6 seconds while still returning 47mpg(us). Also, unlike many other cars of a similar style this car is not FWD, but instead RWD. (if i used transverse i could only manage 800cc or so and so the result is an FR city car) It features 4 seats as well as ample storage space so it is quite practical.

2002 Maesima Prova ST-R Coupe

$7435.91 ONO - Definitely an Eye Catcher

2002 Maesima ST-R. Red in colour. 2.2 litre Turbo engine. 5 Speed manual. Regretfully sale as I need a family car rather than a sports car.

Only 2 owners, the second one since 2007. Serviced regularly by the same mechanic since 2007. Long rego. Good tread on tyres. Interior in very good condition. Back seats rarely used.

Rare High-Performance ST-R model was a $12,480 car when new. Delivered as a genuine model for this market. This is NOT a grey import.

Everything works fine and definitely a beauty to drive.

Come down and inspect if you like.

You will definitely like it.

First to see will buy!

History

In 2002, finally completely free from the shackles of Socialist rule (even if it was mostly state capitalism by the end) Maesima was able to chart its own destiny again. It quickly turned itā€™s eyes to updating the successful NV998 created in the dying days of the DSRA. The Maesima NV998 was introduced in 1998 with and range of engines and body styles including a license version of the HB Series from the @koolkeiā€™s Komodo motors.

It saw international and domestic success being reliable and affordable globally even comparatively within Anikatia society of the time. As Maesima returned to completely private ownership in 2001, a large number of reforms of the company were undertaken. Major changes were instituted across all models.

The socialist era system of alphanumeric names was largely replaced with genuine names. So the NV998 became the Prova, the first Maesima vehicle to wear now iconic nameplate.

The original Prova ST-R was a surprisingly affordable design for the period thanks to a combination of low wages in Anikatia, its economy car roots and the poor state of the Anikatian currency during this period.

Introduced in 2002 this performance version used a turbocharged 2.2 litre In-Line 4 cylinder derived from the earlier NV988.: It produces 127 kW (170 hp) allowing a 0-100 km/h in less than seven seconds. Yet it still provides seating for four and excellent fuel economy of around 7 L/100 km.

Itā€™s distinctive sporty looks surely makes it a future classic.

Besides donā€™t you remember driving it before?

I waited ages for someone to present their car as if it were in GT3 A-Specā€¦ Then two of them do just that in quick succession! And @Rk38 is the 2002 Prova rear-wheel drive like my entry?

Edit: Your car is actually FWD and therefore reminds me more of an Integra Type-R than anything else.

Yeah, I saw @DeusExMackia awesome GT ones and wanted to have a go at a gif versionā€¦turns out itā€™s a lot more work I didnā€™t have time to do a full rotation. I think an earlier GT2 style black background rotating screen version would be quite achievable.

Regarding the Prova, itā€™s always been FWD platform from this first one to the current edition.
