1950s Tire Challenge

Getting bored of building insanely brütal engines for challenges? Then you’ll have fun with this one.
The year is 1950, and you can only use hard 125mm tires. So better find a good compromise for your vehicle, as 400hp won’t help you.

Any other engine requirements?

Oh heck yes! I’m in on this one!

Nice! I’m going to partecipate!

Nope.

Oh look at the time, it’s burnout o’ clock.

Seems like an interesting challenge although options are limited :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m in!!

And i think that the next CTC challenge should be: selling this baby’s!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Now there’s an idea!

Znopresk tests are finished on the SPA circuit in Belgium.
Here a photo of the experimental car loosely based on the Z847 platform.

Soon the car will reach the Nurbingring to compete with all the others.

That is the sicke- I mean most smashing Photoshop of Eau Rouge I’ve ever seen. It’s simply marvellous!

Thanks  Unfortunatly the resolution of the car wasn’t high enough… lesson learned for the next time.

Well, back in the '50s they had really shitty resolution digital cameras! xD

After looking at this several times, the challenge of trying to make a car that the tyres could handle was too appealing to resist. And very well balanced, too!

In honour of the memory of legendary Australian driver Jack Brabham, who passed away earlier this year, I’ll be entering a 1950 Morris Minor racing edition that will go around Nordschleife faster than my 2014 Civic (and Sabine’s Ford Transit Van…), hell, I think it’s actually all around faster than my '14 Civic except maybe under brakes…

If you have joined the kermesse, things are spicing up!

Psh. I’m still waiting for my last place trophy,

Aaaand results are in.
Yes you are last VicVictory.

Congrats to the field for a tight finish. Very impressed that oppositlock managed to break the 10 minute barrier I tried but couldn’t find my way past! I will look at the build with much interest.

Congratulation everyone and thanks to Mer_At to have thought about this very intresting challenge. I’ll hope to see something similar soon.

YESS! Sweet vindication of my sucktasticness! LOL!

I also clearly have no clue how to build engines properly.
