(1980) Communist Racing (FINAL RACE DONE)

Hello comrades!

Welcome to the
**
COMMUNIST TROPHY
**
Its very simple - build a car, send it in and in some days we gonna race it on 6-8 more or less famous race tracks around the world? Which one, you may ask? Well we don’t know, the KGB is holding back the information…
But Igor decided that with some rules that cannot work… and the Regime only gives a certain amount of money for every team.

Enough about talking… here are they.

You can download the Polonez body here: Download
Unpack that into your \Automation\assets\meshes and enjoy!

Gotta do this…

Edit: Working on the car, all’s going well then I realise I’m nearly at the $7k limit already, and getting the minimum safety is going to be a challenge…

Done. Safety wasn’t a challenge. Advanced 80’s with 0 quality. Engine reliability was my big issue, given the power curve I was building.

Yep, managed to get past the safety obstacle and I’m done. I’m not too sure what a “good” time would be for the kind of car that I’ve built, and I’ve made it as fast around the airfield as possible, so I’m just going to assume it’s a decent time.

The CTE Polonez comes into the play.

The Communist racing theme is catching on  this is very good

LOOK!
THE BENCHMARK CAR!

The Banhammer Molotok

Glory to Arstotzka!

BAM is proud to announce a cheap but mighty export product: The BAM 1500 turbo BRC. If things go well at the border, it might ruin the local streets some more.

I must be daft or something, I can’t find these folders. I tried adding them manually and extracting to the new folder, but that didn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

Edit: Solved, thanks.

The location of these folders are in your installation of Automation, NOT the folder in your My Documents sub-heading

Are you accessing the documents path instead? The full path is c:\automation\assets, as opposed to c:\Users____\documents\automation

Doh! I’m an idiot, thanks guys.

Here is my entry…

Introducing the Proletariat Workers Pride National Struggle!!!

The Workers Pride is the automobile that every loyal citizen of Proleland aspires to be allocated by their benevolent and wise natinal congress and the National Struggle variant is the model that, through glorious struggle against worthy opponents on the racetrack, symbolises Proletariats’ commitment to fighting complacency and nihilism both within and outside Proleland.

Only through constant struggle and ruthless self-examination can true Utopia be reached!!!

Am I the only comrade true enough to the people to reject capitalist turbo technology?

You are not alone comrade! I too have resisted the scourge of “forced” induction… The name says it all really, Capitalism has forced all who follow its decadence to violate their freedom for the promise of a better life! :stuck_out_tongue:

Indeed not, I, too, have resisted the decadence of turbo! Introducing perhaps the most Communist car of them all, the Tovarisc (or, more properly, товарищ!)

Admire those resolute lines! No fancy filigree here (well, at least, not on the outside).

GG got their hands on one, and decided to have a bit of fun with it, very much in the same vein as everything else cheap and ‘cheerful’ they’ve been tuning up lately. However we’ve been on a bit much of a turbo binge, so we felt it time to invest in some good old fashion natural power, strong and hearty like a communist worker!

Well, more like, I kept breaking the carbs due to ‘too much boost’, so I thought, screw it, I’ll go NA.

Edit: Much better! No more capitalist English lettering in the car name! Too bad about the other decal though…

Some are more equal than others… my workmen have used latest and best soviet technology for the Molotok - its powerful, fast and yellow. We only had yellow available.

But my tovarish Vladimir and Artyom made a good work - Soviet Union is proud of them.

And watch out for those dirty Kolechian separatist terrorists!

Here is my, a decadent capitalist pig dog, take on Communism Race Car.

It’s the SCM 20Vx2 K. Even I have absolutely no idea what those numbers and letters means. It sports the V8 engine with 2 sets of 20 valves producing sufficient number of horsepower, many driving lamps, and 4 exhausts tail pipe.
