This is “Big Red”

She’s the first car I’ve ever owned. I picked her up on Saturday. I don’t have much to say, other than that she’s fantastic and it’s the best thing I’ve every had.



First car and it’s a V8? Damn.
Also, I’ve heard that it’s quite common in America for dealerships to put their name on the back of the cars that they sell, tis’ a shame they do that.

Yes, but nothing a bit of dental floss, and some Goo Gone can’t fix.

It might be a V8, but she isn’t making anythign special right now, only about 200bhp from a 4.6L modular V8. I’m looking to replace some of the engine parts with the '03 Marauder’s.

200 HP is still a lot for a first car though, some people in England are lucky to be getting 90.

I see all too often here. When I ordered both of my Mustangs, I very specifically told the dealerships that NO dealer identification stickers/badges/license plate frames/etc. were to be applied to them, unless they had no problem paying me a monthly fee for advertising their dealership… :smiling_imp:

Suffice it to say when I picked up the cars, they had no dealer identification… :laughing:

What parts are you thinking of swapping in? There’s not a lot of parts interchangeability, if any, with regards to SOHC and DOHC 4.6L Mod motors.

Grab some mustang parts the gt had a 2 valve at 260hp, grab a intake manifold, headers and hangers and pipe in a dual exhaust, should boost you up 20-30 hp might be able to swap chips too. Its a really versatile engine for modding, so many combinations.

Just some new headers and then some weight saving for anything else. I’m also putting in new exhaust.

I think that the front number plate is worse…
And those chrome wheel surrounds, I don’t remember seeing those before…oh, wait, BMW CSL from the 70s, that is a great car.

The front number plate is just a temp tag. When the car is fully registered, I’ll get permanent ones. Unfortunately, drivers in NJ have to have both front and rear tags…

(oh, and the dealer identification thing… more common on the East coast and Midwest. Uncommon on the West coast)

Lucky people in the West Coast! Something I forgot to mention is that right beside my apartment complex, there is a straight road. This road is maybe about 1/4 mile long…and is seldom policed…and is right by the highway so any rapid acceleration noise will be confused for the highway… :wink:

In the great white north most cars have dealer badges and license plate frame kinda things, so everybody knows you went to (insert name)'s honda and what town they are located in.
