Now on its home turf, Dalluha Coach & Motor Works presents a troika of...

2004 DCMW Barrijat Supremacy R

Perhaps better known outside of its native land by its rebadge, the Norðwagen Þór, the Barrijat - Arabic for “battleship” - got its name from DCMW’s LaMarche 1960 contender, dubbed a “battleship” by the race organizer. A small-medium shooting brake with a healthy reserve of muscle, this generation features gullwing doors, all-wheel-drive (most models), and a series of special exhaust systems with exposed ultra-long headers and unusually high redlines.

The pace was very determined by cars this week. But the top six all finished within 10 seconds of each other. It will be exciting to see the battles between the Oni Nodachi and Campodoro 236 Zenith this season. There were surprisingly no DNF’s this week for any reason!

There was further drama at the start of the season because the DCMW Barrijat Supremacy R entries were found to be running too large of engines, meaning that they are disqualified from the championship. @Mausil’s entry was also disqualified because it was too far off the pace. (Sorry @moroza and @Mausil :sob: )

Well, last place but not so slow to get a DQ, and on the bright-side we completed the race with no failures.

Awesome, I’ll take a 7-8-9 (a third as far as car design is concerned). Looking forward to the rest of the races.

Curious, but what were the finishing times of the cars?

The 16-040 engine has thicker than standard cylinder walls, so while nominal family capacity is 3132cc, the 30D-R556 variant actually installed in these cars is 2999cc, within the rules. If you’re deliberately going by family capacity, that would definitely be against standard practice and need to be spelled out clearly in the rules to be acceptable. Explain, please.

+1 to @Kreator 's request to post actual laptimes. Posting modifiers would be welcome, too.

I haven’t gone to do that sort of complexity, it mostly went off laptime but with some randomness

sorry that I didn’t catch that, I’ll give everyone a drop round then and that can be yours.
When it comes to laptimes, the cars aren’t even remotely close, but yours was by far the quickest before I saw the engine displacement

I think If I do another challenge like this I’ll do something more the the Cestalis 1000km where it’s just one race, so I can go into a lot of detail

Alright, glad to hear it wasn’t intentional.

No, I say keep multiple tracks with diversity - some favoring speed, others handling. Ideally, no car should win every one. HTM and GRC are good examples to follow.

lol, maybe I misunderstood where to place de name of the car “DRRD Garage”. On the other side, will you share the computation of the results On Excel?

what happened to my Ignis? D:

you did not submit in the correct format

I’ll rename your car on the sheet then. I probably won’t share it because it’s embarrassingly simple.

I think I’ll make a more complex one for my next challenge but make it automated

Submission Rules:

  • Car family name must be DTC04 - (Your Username)
  • Car trim name should be the name of the car
  • Engine family name must be DTC04 - (Your username)
  • Engine name is free

Very sorry everyone, but I don’t know that I’ll have the time to do the rest of the races. I may have time to finish them once I’m on break for Christmas, but I’ll have to postpone until then most likely.
