Scagliati at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show. Day One.

Introducing the 2019 Scagliati Zoccarato - Power And Poise.

2019 Scagliati Zoccarato in Arancia Cachi

Scagliati is proud to introduce to you our latest small sports touring car, the 2019 Scagliati Zoccarato. Based on the high-technology, all-carbon fibre SCALE Architecture of our other model lines, the Zoccarato represents the more sporting half of our entry-level model lineup. Make no mistake, though, this car is still very much a Scagliati through and through, with a sharp, responsive chassis, a powerful yet dignified engine and the finest Venetian craftsmanship swadding both pilot and passenger in the finest of luxury.

Power for the Zoccarato comes from the turbocharged, 2.9-litre inline-6 that is found in the open-top Zoccarato Scoperta, but is now tuned to an impressive output of 502 horsepower and 465 newton-metres. Coupled to a seven-speed double clutch gearbox and driving the rear wheels through our CAST-controlled electronic rear differential, the Zoccarato sprints from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.8 seconds, and returns a combined 7.0 litres per 100 kilometres in Automation Combined Cycle Fuel Economy standard testing.

Inside the Zoccarato, you will find the very same attention to detail and luxury that only befits a Scagliati, with both pilot and passenger cossetted in lightweight but sumptuously comfortable carbon-fibre backed seats wrapped in the finest leathers and synthetic materials (see your Scagliati Atelier for detailed information and availability). The cockpit is pilot-oriented, with all functions and displays laid out for quick, safe and easy dissemination and operation of the Zoccarato. Instruments consist of a central tachometer with a multi-function display in the middle, along with two flanking OLED screens for navigation, infotainment and vehicle systems information.

The orderbook for the Zoccarato is open today, with prices starting at $145,525. First deliveries of the Zoccarato are expected to begin in the first part of Q3 of this year.

Honghu Automotive Association Press Day 1 - Jinhe GC

To the sound of ZHU and Nero’s “Dreams”

Jinhe is proud to show off three revamped vehicles for the 2020 Geneva Auto Show. Redesigned this year, is the Jinhe GC, formerly named the Grand Chariot. This time around, the Guangzhou-based company decides to follow in the footsteps of its city’s rapidly-urbanizing economy, showing off the pinnacle of China’s forward-thinking technology.

Shown: Jinhe GC Pt

In the current year, technology has evolved at the blink of an eye, with advents in artificial intelligence, smartphone connectivity and various other innovations which place us in the high-tech lifestyle we have yearned for. With this in mind, Jinhe has incorporated the breadth of the technological revolution within its flagship cruiser.

Alongside existing Jinhe tech which allowed its models to cruise autonomously on highways, hit the brakes when it detects a rear-end collision, and navigate the user around via voice navigation, comes various other new innovations which make the GC the leader in technology.

Interior & Amenities

The interior now incorporates a massive curved touch screen which keeps both the driver and passenger in mind. In fact, nearly the entire interior is now one. big. touch screen. One, big, customizable touch screen. Weather and traffic updates, Baidu-assisted satellite maps (in Asian markets), vehicle status, and screen mirroring are all now at your fingertips. Widgets are customizable to the user’s preference, while new ones are downloadable, and to account for safety, voice prompts and state-of-the-art gesture controls are also standard to keep the user’s eyes on the road. Other amenities include the ability to lock, unluck, start, and adjust the temperature your car with a single smartphone via. Honghu connect. The rear fascia is also entirely an LED screen, making for very expensive repairs allowing the user to choose a taillight design of their liking, and project messages on the rear of the vehicle.

This is definitely not ripped straight off an Audi A8 .-.

Jinhe’s new Augmented-Reality HUD also makes a debut within the GC, which will actively guide the user towards their destination, find parking spots, keep the user in their respective lanes, but most importantly, detect potential collision threats.

Safety

In fact, safety has become top priority for Jinhe’s GC. We here at Jinhe are proud to announce that the GC is not only fully autonomous on highways, but can now detect collisions and fully AVOID them using A.I. technology.

automotive-head-up-display

Under a rear-end, cross-traffic, fender bender, and head-on scenario, the GC will actively predict the path of the incoming vehicle using various sensors and A.I. to steer the driver away or hit the brakes in order to avoid a collision entirely. The GC will also detect other vehicles veering into its lane and move aside if the situation may result in a collision. Jinhe’s A.I. assisted collision avoidance system will add ontop of its existing safety infrastructure, making it one of the most technologically-advanced safety systems to-date.

Performance

The Pt-line GCs are powered by a 3.7L V8 making 300 horsepower. Jinhe’s active suspension suite with Nimbus Ride Control is also offered. The GC clocks in around 32 mpg and does 0-60 in 7 seconds.

PtS and PtSR Trims

The performance market does not end up being neglected by Jinhe. Despite its focus on technology, the same innovations can be experienced with an extra punch of power.

Shown: Jinhe GC PtS

The PtS takes the 300-horsepower V8 from the more tame trims, and replaces it with a 560-horsepower twin-turbo V10, propelling the PtS forward to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The PtS also manages a top speed of 334 km/h. Despite this, fuel economy still sits at a respectable 25 mpg. With its active suspension suite, the PtS shoots around corners at 1.16 g.

PtS Gallery

As well, the SR division takes it a step forward, upping the output to a ludicrous 690 horsepower while sending the luxury sedan to 100 in 3.3 seconds. The SR tops out at 346 km/h, yet still returns a livable 24 mpg. Cornering is not taken for granted either, with the SR able to stick through at 1.19 g.

Honghu Automotive Press Day 1.5 - All the Rest (of Jinhe)

Alongside the GC, comes various other releases from both Jinhe AND its umbrella company Honghu.

Jinhe Qingxiu

Alongside the GC, comes the more humble-sized Qingxiu, picking and pulling parts of the GC’s technology to be placed in a smaller, slightly more affordable package.

Shown: Jinhe Qingxiu S

The Qingxiu can be thought of as the little brother of the GC. Although it may not have as large of touchscreens as the GC, nor display personalized messages on the rear, the same augmented reality systems and full safety suite are offered at the highest trim.

The Qingxiu is powered by a 3.0 L V6 making 276 horsepower, which sends the Qingxiu to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Plenty for the Asian market. (North-American versions of the new Jinhe models will have their power output raised.)

S

Like other Jinhe models, an S trim is offered. Said trim ups the power to 405 horses, allowing the Qingxiu to charge forward to 100 in 4.9 seconds. The Jinhe active suspension suite will also be offered alongside. An SR trim is also rumoured to be released later on as well.

Pricing:

Cu: $32 000
Ag: $36 000
Au: $41 500
Pt: $59 700
S: $56 200

Jinhe Albatross

The Albatross has been redesigned for the 2020 year, with big ass grille sharper design and a pretentious egg coupe version in the offering as well.

Shown: Jinhe Albatross Au

The Albatross, like the Qingxiu and GC, will offer its safety suite and AR systems offered on the higher trims.

Powered by the same V6 in the Qingxiu, the Albatross offers a smooth ride complimented by its Nimbus system. The Albatross hits 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds (for the Asian market only). Fuel consumption is rated at 28 mpg.

C (Coupe)

A coupe version has also been created to rival other performance SUVs. Regardless of regular body style or coupe, once paired with the S-trim, the Albatross immediately transforms.

Each model will be able to hit 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, with top speeds around 270 km/h. The S-trims will also manage to corner at 1.14 g, despite their size. An SR trim is also rumoured.

CMW At The Geneva International Motor Show. Day One.

Introducing the 2019 CMW S7. The Golden Age of the Sports Car Begins Again.

2019 CMW S7 VSport in Orange Persimmon

CMW is proud to present the all-new 2019 CMW S7. Born from over seventy years of motor racing heritage, the S7 continues the storied CMW S-Line into the future, with lightweight construction and for the first time, turbocharged engines in all models of the S7.

2019 CMW S7 in CMW Stahlblau

With an aluminum-intensive chassis and lightweight but tough carbon fibre body panels, CMW engineers worked feverishly to remove as much weight as possible from the all-new S7, with the base-model S7 weighing in at a mere 1105 kilograms. Part of this weight savings comes from the first-ever turbocharged four-cylinder engine to be fitted across the entire range of S7s, in the traditional boxer layout that has become familiar to CMW S-Line fans. In the S7, the magnesium-block, 2.0-litre boxer four is rated at 303 horsepower and 322 newton-metres, giving the car a 0 to 100 time of 4.0 seconds flat through the standard six-speed manual transmission. In the S7 VSport, the engine is enlarged to 2.4 litres, and produces 367 horsepower and 394 newton-metres, giving the VSport a 0 to 100 time of 3.5 seconds through the standard seven-speed double-clutch transmission.

Outside, the S7 has a distinctively mid-engined styling, immediately identifiable as a CMW S-Line model, with its aggressive stance, wide fender arches and large front headlights. The centre-mounted exhaust with one or two outlets adds to the sporty character of the S7 and S7 VSport.

Inside the CMW S7 and S7 VSport, you will find a driver-oriented cockpit that is as functional as it is beautiful. The deep and slender sports seats are power-adjustable and swathed in your choice of leather or Alcantara, and help give the S7 a motorsports feel. Instrumentation is clear and well-laid out for the driver, with a centrally-located tachometer flanked by two LED screens providing operational and navigational and infotainment information. A ten-speaker BergMeister stereo system gives the S7 and S7 VSport a near-luxury car level of sound quality, and the 7-inch screen mounted in the centre console provides a central location for all non-essential driving information, as well as control for the climate control and infotainment system.

The S7 VSport stands apart from the base model S7 in a number of areas. In addition to the larger engine, the S7 VSport has a fully-electronically controlled differential with torque vectoring, as well as a more sporting-oriented suspension tune, larger brakes and wider 19-inch sports-compound tires, as opposed to the base model’s 18-inch standard wheels and tires. The additional traction provided by upgraded suspension makes the S7 VSport the preferred choice of drivers seeking a sportier experience, though make no mistake, the S7 VSport is a car one could use every day just as easily as the standard S7.

Prices for the S7 start at $46,280 and $55,850 for the S7 VSport, with deliveries beginning in June of 2019. Visit your local CMW S-Line dealer for more information.

Atlas Cosmos S(4.0TT)

The Atlas Cosmos S is the base model of the Cosmos Executive sedan. Featuring a powerful twin turbo charged V8 or optional Naturally aspirated V10(both engines feature cylinder deactivation), the model shown is fitted with the 4.0L GS40 DETT(C) twin turbo V8. This engine produces a hearty 650 BHP and modest 444 LB-FT of torque. The chassis uses a combination of light weight aluminum with titanium/carbon fiber reinforcement at key points to help maintain a light and responsive chassis while improving overall safety. Several options are available for the Cosmos S, including several different info/entertainment combinations and choice of leather or alcantara seats.

The Atlas Cosmos is quite at home on the track as well, not just with its powerful engine, but its electronically adjustable suspension, precise all wheel steering, and deployable spoiler(panamera style). This beast has not only luxury and comfort, but it can double as a excellent track day vehicle. Pricing for the base S comes in at $95,000(not including options or 5.0L V10).

MAKING A RETURN TO EUROPE

The 2019 Corsica Cheetah, previously presented at the North American International Auto Show 2019, makes its European debut

Welcome to the Corsica booth in Geneva! The last time we were here was in 2009, after which we sadly had to discontinue all sales in Europe.

However, the Corsica Motor Company is making a grand return to Europe, featuring new dealership locations and all-new models to come. In our presentation, we will announce and explain our plan for 2019 and 2020.

In November of 2018, construction began at the Sisten/Taluvec dealerships located in England, Scotland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Estonia to expand them to fit the fleet of Corsica.

These seven locations are the starting point of our expansion and will be ready for business by Q3 of 2019. After these dealerships, our next focus will be on the dealers located in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Norway, Albania, Ukraine, Italy and France. Certain locations in the fore mentioned countries are already being converted to also carry Corsica models and all of the locations will be finished by early 2020.

Corsica, as is with Sisten and Taluvec in these markets, will not be marketed as a mainstream manufacturer in Europe. Instead, every dealership will receive approximately five to ten versions of each model. The customer can use the online car configurator to design their model, which will be completed in the United States and shipped over to the dealer where the customer can take delivery of their brand-new Corsica.

And with that, we conclude the presentation on our plan to return to Europe. Thank you for attending.

But you didn’t think that was the only reason we came here, did you?

The 2019 Corsica Wildcat.

For a moment, let’s forget the “Crossover Craze” and let us focus on the cars that actually mean something to drive. These are the fun, throw-around and exciting vehicles that you can always depend on.

For 2019, the Corsica Wildcat roadster is making a return.

A DESIGN PLEASING TO THE EYE

The new Wildcat is a return to the name last seen in 2009 and our first model to use the “Smooth Fade” design philosophy. Characterized by pointed-out flares alongside smooth and powerful body lines, Smooth Fade will be followed by with every new Corsica to come.

With powerful LED lights in the front and an attractive lightbar at the rear, it guarantees that people will take notice while still being subtle.

POWER THAT ATTRACTS

Taking advantage of an all-new 2.4 liter naturally aspirated Inline-5 engine, the Wildcat speeds from 0-62 mph in just 6.1 seconds and does the 1⁄4 mile race in 14 seconds.

Every Wildcat is equipped with Double Wishbone suspension in the front, Multilink at the rear. This combination provides not only the sportiest of feels, but also outstanding ride comfort.

THE DRIVETRAIN, PERFECTED

The genesis of the Wildcat starts with lightness, a rule that has not been forgotten. Thanks to cutting edge weight-saving measures, this cat comes in at only 1230 kilograms. One of these is taking great advantage of the all-new Space Light™ chassis, specially developed for the Wildcat.

Sculpted from Aluminium, it allows for the shell to be as light as possible while still maintaining the feel of a proper sports car.

For 2019, it is available to be optioned with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission, with each bringing their own excitement into the game.

SUPERSPORT

2019 will feature one trim version: the Supersport. With such standard equipment as Advanced Highway Cruise Control and LED front lights, the model starts at just $22,500 (6-speed) or $24,000 (7-speed DCG). Other standard features include backup cameras, heated seats with ventilation, a heads-up display and a heated steering wheel.

Kasai Motors at Geneva Motor Show 2019

Introducing the 2019 Kasai Calibri R - A New Kind of Fun.

Kasai Motors is proud to reveal their all-new performance hatchback - or hot hatch - models, the Calibri R and Calibri R GT.

A Metamorphosis.

Throughout the years, the Calibri hatchback has gone through a number of different shapes and iterations before finally entering the more radical, higher performance grounds with the R and R GT trims. Both the Calibri R and R GT are powered by a street-tuned version of the 4KME engine previously used as specialty rallycross engine, capable of putting up to 272 horsepower and 324 Nm to the wheel, with Eco Mode for in-city driving, and forged parts enabling it to rev up to 8.300 RPM. That is nearly 2-3 times the power of all other Calibri trims, for comparison.

A Direct Race Derivative.

Thanks to years worth of racing engineering experience, the Calibri is equipped with an array of motorsports-inspired technology, such as viscous limited slip differential, all-wheel-drive system, a selection of 6-speed manual transmission (R trim) or dual clutch transmission (R GT trim) with Launch Control feature, Race Mode ESC, and soft compound sports tires. This gives it a 0-100 km/h time of just under 5 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h (electronically limited). Cornering also goes up to 1.15 g. With this, you can go down the Alps without any worries of crashing to think about.

A Love Letter For Enthusiasts.

Coming from an economy car background, the Calibri R does not forget its lineup’s main advantage: Affordability. With a starting price of $28.000, the Calibri R is among the more competitive models when it comes to the amount of Price vs. Features and Performance it offers. It’s set as the ‘starting ground’ for people who are just starting to enter the performance car scene, people who are looking for cheap horsepower, or tuners who are interested in tuning the Calibri to its maximum potential.

The all-new 2020 Tanaka Akuma

Tanaka Akuma S shown in Metallic Black

The time has come for a new generation. Times have change and Tanaka has been left behind just by a little bit. But that is about to change, because the new 3rd generation Akuma is here.

Design

Tanaka Akuma S shown in Iced Stone

The front is a completely new design language. The designers at Tanaka wants to have an aggressive but a professional look. The front of the Akuma clearly shows that. The headlights are thin with a curved black line that follows the shape of the car connecting the two headlights. These, combined with the large side vents make this car a looker.

As for the sides, the side profile is quite clean. The lack of a visible vent on the sides contributes to the cleanliness. Here, you can notice the black strip on the bottom part. There is a vent hidden behind the black bar. There is a scoop on each sides of the car to take in air to cool the engine. The overall shape of the Akuma is smooth.

The rear of the car goes compliments the front of the car, smooth yet aggressive. This way, the Akuma looks professional. At the diffuser, there is a rear fog light which is mandatory in Europe. However, it also makes the Akuma look more sporty.

At the roof, there is a bubble top. It is there to differentiate this car from others. Not only that, but it gives extra space for tall people with helmets to be comfortable and not hitting this roof.

Technicals

Here is the bare chassis of the Akuma. As you can see, there is the carbon-fibre tub with aluminium tubes going around the car. This new chassis is now 20% stiffer than its predecessor. This is also the first Akuma to have all-round pushrod suspension to stretch its handling capabilities. The 4.7 litre twin-turbocharged V8 is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The Akuma is of course, an AWD-only vehicle.

The 2nd Generation Selena arrived in markets last month, but for the first time, Hornet will be releasing a wagon variant of the Selena, named the Selena Traveller.

Save for the longer body, the Traveller handles similarly to the regular hatchback version, meaning people can enjoy the simplicity of the Selena, but now be able to carry a whole lot more cargo.

Engine options remain the same, with the base engine being a 133 HP 1.5L I4, and upper trim options including a 170 HP 2.0L I4, or a 220 HP 1.5L Turbocharged I4. Transmission options include a 6-Speed Manual standard, or a 7-Speed Automatic.

The IkaMagic model range makes a radical turn into 2019, predicting its own new future design elements that would in turn "radicalise the shape of sports motoring as we know it.

Their highlights from the International Motor show include high-end sports models that are as sporty as they are form-making, implementing a design element that is said to “Slightly reduce drag by increasing air resistance.” And on this very day, the Aero Fin has become synonymous with IkaMagic’s sporty range, ushering in the Fin Era as the fans have called it.

Another new innovation announced by IkaMagic is the new Variable Valve Timing system they called MVTS (Magic Valve Timing System). It is said to immensely boost engine efficiency, giving itself the power it needs without having to strain itself as hard as other engines from the manufacturer.

So far they have released a teaser image of their latest car to be shown at the auto show.

There have been various rumours about this car, some people wondering about the protrusion from the side. Some debating that it might be a long whale-tail for a sports car, while others may have thought of a shooting-brake inspired grand tourer.

Honghu 8x8c

Brand new to the Honghu lineup, is the 8x8c; a crossover smaller than the fullsize 8x8, with the same tech and more utilitarian styling.

The 8x8c shares the same technology as the flagship 88888888, but in the package of a crossover. Besides the addition of a picnic set hidden under the cargo area, that’s literally it.

Pricing

The 8x8c starts at $208 888. I don’t know what to write anymore.
