A Better Christmas
It’s that time of the year again. The jolliest time.
Due to the current update, there isn’t much running right now. But why not have some fun with a styling only challenge?
Before you go in, know that both current versions of the game (Al Rilma and Ellisbury) are fine, as only engineering should really change between them.
BetterDeals has struck a deal with Santa Claus, his Elves, and the North Pole Association.
They require vehicles to help them, in any way.
They realize they’ve been extremely inefficient in transport, work equipment, and basically anything that isn’t just eating cookies and drinking milk since the beginning of time.
Your goal is to create something for Santa and his Elves to make their life easier. More info can be found lower in the post.
Note that you do not have to make a BetterDeals, you can make it any brand you like and we’ll just say BetterDeals outsourced it.
Info on BetterDeals
BetterDeals is a… Let’s say infamous brand from Curacao (A small country in the Caribbean).
They are mostly known for their unusual, usually ugly, and often blocky designs that try to fix problems that often don’t even exist.
They are usually considered troll builds.
A few examples:
Race car with jet engine in the rear,
“Car” with propellor, a truck bed in the front, and cockpits on the side.
Flying car.
Caged endurance racing car to prevent damage.
I’m not sure.
If you need any more info, just ask Djadania.
Rules (As if there are any!)
Rule 1: Vehicle must have at least 1 seat.
Rule 2: Vehicle must be able to move (How, is your choice…)
Rule 3: No offensive or NSFW things. You’ll end up on the naughty list.
Priorities (You don’t have to follow these, but they may help)
Creativity
– Creativity is the most important thing in this challenge. We don’t care if it’s realistic, just come up with the most creative solution to problems you can think of.
Think outside of the box. Even if it wouldn’t work in reality.
Just think, “What would BetterDeals do?”, or “What would an idiot do?”.
Usefulness
– What’s the point if it is of no use to Santa or his Elves? Do note that it only has to work in theory, doesn’t have to work in reality.
“Stubbornness”
– BetterDeals is known for never taking a simple solution to a problem and always coming up with something different, or extremely basic. While not required, coming up with unnecessary solutions to unnecessary problems is a classic for the company. As an example, instead of using a standard heater you have a campfire under the floor.
Jolliness
– It’s Christmas, you gotta be Jolly! Well, it’s not required, but useful. The usual Christmas stuff should be fine. Just look up “Christmas”, should tell you what we’re looking for here.
NOTE: You do not need 3d fixture skills for this challenge, so don’t be discouraged if you have little experience with it.
Some Ideas and Tips
First thing I have to say is that Magic and Nonsense is fine, and even slightly encouraged. If you want to power your negative-weight Australian sleigh by putting water breathing elves in a hamster wheel, go ahead. It’s Christmas, so there are bound to be miracles.
Santa will make it work, go wild!
Second thing, injecting some humor is very much ok. If you want to make a comically large coal mining machine to deliver coal to naughty kids, that is very much ok as well.
Again, go wild. Let your imagination run free.
Last thing, this challenge is not to be taken too seriously. Just have some fun, you’re free to mess around and do whatever you’d like!
– NOTE: You don’t have to make a BetterDeals, if you don’t want to, then don’t do it.
