Switching to 4.2 might be a good idea right now - we are on LCV4.13 at present, and 4.2 is more stable than it once was.
4.2 - otherwise the info might be obsolete in a not too distant future
Especially since many of the bodies we know and love in 4.1 were drastically revised in 4.2.
Honestly staying in 4.1 doesn’t really make sense now since its going to lose support whenever 4.2 launches anytime.
(also, wait, the poll function is gone?)
4.2
4.2, it has more of my bodies in vanilla
Here’s a car I did on the ages ago on the princess body. The lower vents are a bit shit but it’s overall pretty nice, despite the problem with the body.
I personally really like the BL body, lots of variants and wheelbases, and a unique shape that suits the era well and is different from all other bodies. Hopefully it gets a remake soon.
It may be built on the BL Princess body set, but it doesn’t resemble its real-life counterpart as much as most other builds based on it.
looks nice! a good job for the princess body, looks very detailed. i like it.
That Muskovitch looks like a smaller car is shedding its skin…
Idk if this is too off-topic for this thread, but has anyone ever managed to make anything good out of the W203 Bodies? (BodyEditor_00sSedan_02)
yep! i dont know if i have pics cause it was an older version. il see if i can find them
Comprehensive Guide may be returning in December. Stay tuned.
Comprehensive Guide is returning!
Please reread the introduction for instructions on sending .cars/images.
not to bore everyone with the details but i got very very burnt out of automation and life in general, and the past 3ish years have been very eye-opening and i now feel much more mature and confident in my abilities to create cars that don’t look mutated and disfigured, aswell as generally speaking. As such, i have decided that this project (and maybe dies irae if i get time) will be returning in 2025. Seeing as it’s been 3 years i now have significantly less free time (and will have even less when i finally get a fucking job) so expect the same sporadic upload schedule, now with added VW Beetle updates because i bought a beige convertible shitbox.
Seeing as the Austin Princess body has been updated logically i should start there, but truthfully i’m still traumatised from working on that mofo. Seriously, i see that mouldy cheese wedge on wheels and dogtape in my nightmares.
So, i’m open to suggestions. Preferably something pre-1995ish because i’m not very good at modern cars, and also preferably something that won’t give me an aneurysm (i need my brain to work in order to get my qualification). If nothing is nominated in the next week i’ll just pick something and see what i can do with it.
(PS. should we include the legacy body DLC in “vanilla bodies”? let me know)
thank you all, and i am really, deeply sorry that it’s been so long since i last did anything. depression’s a bitch, but i’m bitchier.

Actually the new BL body isn’t all that bad, I realized when I did Peugeot 504 and Audi 80 clones on it for my COTY project.
Legacy body sets that were deprecated in 4.27 are available as part of a mod pack, but they’re no longer vanilla (although some of them were replaced with other, newer vanilla body sets).
With that in mind, I’ll consider nominating the '78 Euro sedan body set (specifically, the one that resembles a Merc W124) - it comes in four different wheelbases (2.55m, 2.7m, 2.8m, and 2.9m) and has a clean, simple, boxy shape.
As an alternative, I’ll nominate the '92 Evade body set that debuted recently - specifically, the 2-door coupe and convertible variants (the sedan and minivan variants may need a different post for those). This one also has four wheelbases available (2.26m, 2.53m, 2.65m, and 2.89m).
Both of these are among my favorite body sets to use - I’ll leave it up to you to decide which one of the two you want to cover first.
Hi gang, quick update: this week has been busy, will have a look at bodies tonight and have a look at what i can do :3
Cool! I had my own design renaissance recently, and it feels great being able to design cars that don’t look like crap! I think I have a car or 2 that uses a new body or at least one that isn’t here, so i’ll get around to officially posting it here. I will have to wait until Al-Rila becomes main branch though.
In the meantime enjoy a new Al-Rilma body.
And another body that isn’t here yet.
