It’s a damned shame; started it up one morning, and there it was. 
time to whip that out and do a full rebuilt! 
I know its a pain in the arse but after the rebuild u’ll know you got a 100% engine and imho theres no better feeling
Oohhhh… last time I heard that it was after a track day on slightly too low oil, and it resulted in some very melted rod bearings.
Well, I forgot I posted this, but here, have the aftermath of what I did to this poor little 283 I threw in.
