A question about aluminium

I’m working on my first real car that I want to keep instead of throw away, it’s a muscle car and under aluminium panel material it says that you can’t mass produce the car. Does that mean you can only make like one car a day or something?

And have you tried it? That’s easily verifiable if you try it :stuck_out_tongue:

IIRC it’s only a small penalty in the production numbers, but you’ll be still able to produce a big number of cars.

That’s good, so you say it would be alright to use it?

Chevrolet used to make the Corvette out of Fiberglass. I see no reason why you can’t use aluminum panels to make your car. After all, a lot of my company cars are alu-panels even though they end up no-mass-production or limited-production.

All it really means is that it takes longer to build each car because it requires more hands-on work than just having a huge sheet metal press smash out a front right fender. Aluminum’s a little more tricky to weld, which would mean it’d take more time to make each car. If you’ve got a big enough factory, that won’t matter.

So if I understand it the production is how hard it is to make? and my car has 85 production score with aluminium.

Aluminum as OP af in the current build. Use it all the way. It’s cheaper than fiberglass by a large margin, and not much more than steels.
