This is absurdly low for a van from 50 years ago - why do we have to make do with so little power?
The Track is really long and I want people who didn’t spend 6 hours practicing to have a chance at winning–so it is for drive-ability (Also, I just dropped it to 40hp)
40 horsepower?! In a big, boxy van, even at the minimum weight limit, that will create an extremely slow slug that will struggle to climb steep hills. And any vehicle that is underpowered for its weight will actually receive a drivability penalty. Then again, I’m expecting someone to come up with something that can fully exploit such a meager power output.
maybe a power to weight ratio alternative would be a better choice to work with? What do you guys think?
A maximum power-to-weight ratio limit would be preferable, given that 40 bhp is utterly inadequate for a contemporary van.
