Al-Rilma Supercharged Thread

…cause, why not?

First build in Al-Rilma for me: knock off AE86 with originally a 12v SOHC 1.8L Inline 4, changed to a 16v DOHC 1.6L.

Don’t mind the car itself… visuals will probably never be my strong suit.

Second engine build was based on the 3.9L V6 that was in my QFC50 entry, but then deleted it.

Third is similar to the first one, but a 8v SOHC 1.4L I4 that went into the long time build I’ve done a couple times, including for the QFC40.

So, what have others made so far in the openalpha? And for those that haven’t opted into it, what do you plan to make in it once you do or wait for the more stable version?

I haven’t opted into it yet, but I could rework some of my existing builds to account for any changes the new update brings.

I’ve tried giving my one “fake supercharged” engine (the 6.4 from the Cardinal) an actual supercharger, but at that point the game decided to run out of video memory, so not this time, I guess  (in fact I should be sth else and this was a good reminder of that). However, I was able to just open the engine… and in the open alpha the still turbocharged V8 is down from 800 to 600 hp, so I guess the numbers are still pretty off.

2001 Primus Legacy 200 Kompressor Classic

The base model without any extras. Just a relatively large, convenient sedan, not more, and not less. Power comes now from a supercharged 1.8 liter engine with 145 horsepower. It is named 200 because in the smaller Merit model, the NA 1.8 is also offered, so it makes sense to rename the stronger one 200.

The engine replaces a 2.3 liter that was used in the pre-facelift. Better economy and still respectable performance figures for a base model engine are the rewards of the supercharging.
