Hello Bill, this is what we are proposing to do with your Cadillac Eldorado. From a mechanical standpoint, we’ve kept it fairly stock, utilizing the factory front wheel drive chassis and double wishbone suspension. We’ve also kept the HT4100 series engine, although it has been punched out to 4.9 litres like the later cars. With the addition of VVT and direct injection, it now makes 287 horsepower and 343 pound feet of torque.
Mated to a modern seven speed automatic and an electric limited slip differential, it’s capable of a quarter mile in under 16 seconds and a top speed of 180mph. With 235/50R18 tires, wire wheel look alloys, electric stability control, adjustable hydropneumatic suspension, and vented discs on all four corners, it doesn’t embarrass itself in the corners or stops either.
As you can likely see, the Cadillac has received some tweaks to the body. The bumpers have been slimmed down, the fenders elongated, custom lights and gold-chrome grill added, and a lovely black and white pearlescent paint job. Oh, and of course it’s now a convertible! Inside you’ll find maroon and white leather seating and doorcards, matching leather dash, digital dashboard, and a touchscreen infotainment center.
We estimate that the cost for this proposal would come out to $61,000 AMU, a grand under your budget. We here at Sparky T’s look forward to your decision for customizing your Caddy. Cheers!
