OK, I have done my best with the judging. Seems like the latest update messed up some of the engineering. For example I get a red “tire blowout” warning on two of the entries (from @Ch_Flash and @ThatEpicBob ), so….. I can’t actually do more in depth reviews of what makes the cars good and bad. I managed to save the stats before the update so I can only go by them.
BOVOS CUSTOM80 QUATTRO @Ultimate_Billy
This car from Bovos has an overall vibe of being quite inspired by Audi’s motorsport heritage and it does so well. The bodykit gives the car a tougher look while still following the shape of the car very well. The hood seems to draw some inspiration from the Sport Quattro, without being a ripoff, and complements the overall look very well. Things like the clear indicators, red/clear taillights and the blacked out chrome gives the car a cleaner overall look. The wheels is something you can’t argue with - they are very well suited to the aesthetics of the car. With most cars nowadays being in the greyscale, he likes the respray in red too. Even though the aesthetical updates are on the mild side, they really do transform the car and he likes it very much.
On the inside, the updates are mild ones that really does make a difference in the end. A well bolstered Recaro interior, upholstery in black with red stitching, some A-pillar mounted gauges, a chunky sports steering wheel, and a discrete popup infotainment system that has about the bells and whistles you could expect. Nice.
This car is the fastest one top speed wise, but its acceleration is beaten by the otherwise faster LLER, albeit it is a close match. The powerplant giving those good performance numbers is a custom billet block based on Audi’s classic 5 cylinder, albeit surprisingly enough only the 10 valve. Turbocharged with a 253 hp power output. Other updates compared to the original: Aluminium body panels, double wishbone suspension front and rear, vented discs all around, traction control, ABS and adaptive shock absorbers.
It has the second best comfort after the LLER, but it is barely updated there compared to the original. Three of the other entries actually had slightly worse comfort compared to the original car, which is kind of surprising considering he asked for a remarkable improvement there. It is the sportiest entry (tie with the LLER), but it is also the most expensive car to service, and it maxes out the budget. Generally the stats otherwise are rather mid range.

TEB CUSTOMS AUDI 80 QUATTRO - @ThatEpicBob
Out of all the cars, this one has the mildest upgrades aesthetically. It’s not ugly by any means, it is just that while the other cars had some more interesting customwork going on, this is more or less a black Audi with alloy wheels and a rear spoiler, for the better and the worse. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, and it gives some authenticity points, but is maybe a bit boring. But the overall choice of mods does not clash with the car in general (maybe the rear fog lights that TEB customs have added added are a bit on the large side, if one should complain).
The interior is updated with a new dashboard that does not still look out of place in this old car, sportier seats, a premium infotainment system also including a HUD, and a chunkier steering wheel. With the rest of the interior rather good looking, the later one is questionable, when the rest of the interior is black, the steering wheel being brown looks a bit weird, and Marek feels too old for the cat ear cover that TEB seems to have included, but maybe that one will slip off. But that’s a minor gripe in an otherwise good looking interior.
This is another entry with a turbocharged 5 cylinder and in this case a 20 valve one. The rear suspension has been swapped out for a double wishbone one. It has vented discs all around, a 6 speed manual transmission, ESC, launch control and active suspension, so at least on paper it’s quite a heavy upgrade, but what does the stats say?
It has the best improvements when it comes to safety, and it is also the least expensive to buy of all the entries. Driveability is fair and the performance has received quite an upgrade, thanks to the 356 hp engine. But comfort wise it is remarkably worse than the original, as well as when it comes to reliability. It also has the second worst fuel economy and the second highest service costs. Sportiness wise it is also the worst of the cars, albeit still a good upgrade compared to the original.

LLER SUPER QUATTRO - @Texaslav
The slanted front end is the most obvious mod on the car from LLER, and Marek has kind of mixed feelings about it. It somehow takes away a bit of identity from the car, almost giving it vibes of a Volvo 300 series from the front, without being much of an improvement, and the bulging hood scoop together with the pointy, sharp front end is a bit clashing. Other than that, he has no major concerns with the design. Like the Bovos car, it has a body kit well suited to the lines of the car, albeit milder than on the Bovos. Even if he could have preferred a bit more colour than a black/white paint scheme, the 2 tone paint is a nice touch, the dished multispoke wheels are well suited to the overall look of the car and the stance is right. The upgraded taillights makes the car look modern, without altering its identity all too much.
Inside, it has a similar steering wheel to the TEB, but with matching colour and without the cat ear cover, thanks for that. Other than that, it has modern day sports seats and a nice infotainment system similar to the TEB entry. (OOC: Well, I guess your interior is only half finished, since it now misses a centre console and has the old fan knob floating in the air. Hence you can’t get all that much of a score but what you have done is good this far).
When it comes to most key stats, this cars blows the doors off the competition. It is the most driveable one, the most comfortable one, the most prestigious one, the sportiest one (tied with the Bovos). It is also the fastest accelerating one, but that’s probably what it is geared for considering that the top speed suffers (just a little bit). It has a quite large advantage over the original when it comes to safety, it is also the cheapest car to service. The main complaints here? It maxes out the budget and it is also the worst one when it comes to fuel economy. So how did it get here then?
A 363 hp supercharged V6 from an S4 now powers it forward, mated to a 7 speed DCT. A little annoying is maybe that Audi’s classic torsen differentials are now replaced with open ones. 4 wheel vented disc brakes, variable EPS, ESC and adaptive dampings are other upgrades this has seen compared to the original.

TREADKILLERS AUDI 80 QUATTRO AUTOSTRADA - @Mikonp7
(Yes, using your picture since I can’t even capture this on shitspec settings without running out of VRAM, lol)
Well, no question that this car from Treadkillers is the wildest entry. Lovely! The inspiration from Audi’s IMSA cars is very clear, without being a total ripoff, and even though there seems to be some shoddy workmanship in some places (OOC, yes it is visible that it is a bit messy in some areas, but 3D work like this is HARD so I am not going to be harsh on that), aren’t race cars supposed to be a bit raw anyway? The modifications are too many to list but the overall vibe is very well put together and the car ranks high aesthetically, no question about it.
The interior is more or less on par with what we have seen so far. Not much of racing vibes, just upgrades when it comes to seats, steering wheel and infotainment. This has some splashes of beige thrown in among the black/grey colours, but Marek is not very sure that he likes that. Not that the interior is bad, just a bit disappointing maybe compared to the very wild outside.
Unfortunately, it is mostly an entry that is about looks. Performance wise, this race car looking thing is beaten by some other of the entries, but it still feels rather sporty. Service costs somehow manages to be the second lowest ones despite semi slicks, but the jump to the LLER is still big. Driveability is no better than mediocre, and comfort wise it is worse than the original, albeit not as bad as the TEB. It also maxes out the budget and safety is just slightly better than the original, but it should also be said that it has the best fuel economy out of all the entries. Maybe since it still uses the 4 cylinder, now with a turbo and 16V head bumping up the power to 206 hp, maybe a modest figure nowadays but still an improvement to the original. A manual 6 speed transmission, advanced sports undertray, ABS and adaptive damping was also added.

LG AUDI 80 QUATTRO - @Ch_Flash
The most remarkable thing about the Lighting Garage car is probably the B4 inspired front end, maybe a bit clashing with rounded 90s together with square 80s, but it works better than one would think anyway. The custom bodykit is following the lines of the car as well as the overall vibe, and even if he maybe liked the car better in red like the Bovos, the signature purplish blue LG paint means that this is one out of two entries ditching the greyscale for something a bit more fun. The wheels are bold and well suited to the overall vibe of the car, sits very well in the wheel wells. The rear “heckblende” is a nice touch, a must have option in the 80s that nowadays are coming back on modern cars in the form of a light bar.
On the inside, it is more or less following the other cars. Reupholstered seats in leather and tweed, a chunky 3 spoke leather steering wheel looking like if it was straight out of a 90s tuning catalog (which is meant like a good thing since it feels period correct), an updated infotainment system, that however isn’t the latest or most fashionable one. But overall, stylish and functional (OOC: Some things looks weird in the interior, like headrests and rear seatbelts looking a bit out of place, I don’t know if that’s some bug or if the interior is unfinished.)
It is another entry using a 5 cylinder - this time a 20 valve turbo with a 245 hp power output. Performance wise that means that it beats the Treadkillers entry but still has a bit to the fastest cars. It also has a 6 speed manual, 4 wheel disc brakes (but the rear ones only solid), ESC, launch control and active suspension. The updates actually leaves a slight wiggle room in the budget. It seems to be reasonably well put together with the highest reliability out of all the entries, it is also one of the better driving cars, beaten by the LLER with some margin though. Comfort is slightly worse than the original, but not so you would notice, though the client wanted an improvement there. Service costs are a bit on the higher side. But in general it is an entry that has “decent but not top notch stats” in most places.

FINAL RANKING
5th - @ThatEpicBob : Even if this cars had its strong points too, playing it a bit too safe on the exterior combined with some disappointing stats means that it finished last.
4th - @Mikonp7 : A wild idea that didn’t reach all the way through, but kudos to you for trying something different.
3rd - @Ultimate_Billy : A good looking entry, with some strong sides too, but could have used some polishing stats wise.
2nd - @Ch_Flash : Nice aesthetics and one of those entries that maybe didn’t stand out at any stats, but managed to get far by being a very good allrounder.
1st - @Texaslav : Well. Actually maybe my least favourite aesthetics wise (but at least you tried a bit harder than EpicBob), notice that does not mean ugly though, all the entries were good looking. However, it really blows the competition away when it comes to more or less all the key stats, as well as some of the small ones so this time there was really no question about it. Congratulations!
