Ok I think I can help you with that. At the end of this video (keyboard, no assists, 1:44.7… on no tyre blankets), you’ll see some settings. They’re designed to stop the car spinning out excessively and only very gently going into a drift which will give you plenty of time to a) countersteer b) apply throttle at your discretion. You can even hold a high speed drift, in fact it will help you to do so. It was with these settings I got my 1:39 with the mouse.
Sorry about the background music, that’s my YouTube ambient selection for study
I kept the tyre pressures as is because on my previous mouse run, lowering the rear pressure with the suspension as it was caused the handling to be too stodgy, especially at high speeds. But I will try lowering the pressures and see what happens.
Besides, with my settings, I spanked your “with assists” time without assists on the first take, first lap. (And this was a single take video ), so I would say it at least worked for me!
edit: tried the low tyre pressures for a couple of minutes. This is terrible the speed is lower, the response is too slow, everything just rolls. Even with consistent lapping I am six seconds a lap slower. Trust me, just fix the suspension.
Sure but you didn’t host the round. Anyhow, we can vote if need be. Just get your thoughts together and then make a suggestion if you think you can host.
All assists off, appart from the PDK installed. Could probably shave off another second or two. I’m happy I spun only 23 times and restarted the session 6 times. (did a 1:42.0 with ABS on and auto gearbox but that’s not compliant with the rule set)
i can’t remember all my mods
but i don’t think i’ve ever downloaded any celica.
well nah. i didn’t download a celica separately. it was in a pack, didn’t realise that
now i don’t even remember if the AE86 i have in game is a mod or not
