Could you give me a link?
A racing competition without V8 engines is baaaaaad⌠so your inhouse-V8 might see the 1960 season. And keep itâs rear wing, as I installed all mods available.
In the late 60s, well, thatâs the muscle era. As I am a fan of the 67 Impala SS, I maybe want to see some muscle fourdoors⌠the Storm Captain is a car I have always been fond of.
Well, the 60âs Storm Prince has a more period-correct wing on it, but if I did decide to make an alternate racing trim of it, itâll be a little bit wild. Youâve seen we can tune engines, and while thereâs power left on the table in our own engine designs, thatâs because they were built for pure reliability instead of racing.
Edit:
Not sure if Iâd immediately pick the Captain as something late-60âs⌠Granted, I can see the appeal, itâs a car in showroom spec wth 327 horsepower. Was thinking more the Demon, myself, but, the Captain may do better if I canât get a '65 start.
Do I still have time to make a more suitable submission? I want to work on my luxury barge.
Time is one week, so yes, you have. This game is your hobby, not your profession, so take it easy.
Since I made a mistake with the Scapelli, Iâm switching my entry to the Ventnor Sovereign.
Ventnor is the luxury division of Petoskey Motors. I think this song best accompanies this car.
iâm also putting great faith in 4x4 systems. this season we will hopefully be on pace, as iâve only got 200andsomthing bhp
I think the Scapelli will be a guest car at Italian GP, as the officials want to find out if convertibles are suitable for later seasons. There will be a random guest car in each race, so maybe two will be provided by CMT, one by Scapelli and there are still three to go. The ATC officials offer this guest place as a help in prototype developement. So if any of your brands wants to introduce a new model, this might be a good idea. And yes, as each car only races once and is not among the official participants, it can even be a convertible with special permission.
A possible guest car is the Targa Fiorio, as it is a try what a small car using the minimum engine size can do. The little (but more expensive !!!) brother of the Indianapolis differs a lot from the huge CMT sedans (still not sure which one will make it) and is a perfect guest car for testing.
I am still unsure if they should substitute the original car in their guest appearance or not, maybe the results should count, maybe not. I still do not know what would be the fairest.
BTW: That would be a nice song for the Targa Fiorio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enqNl7tdLR4
Hey CMT
Did my car get accepted?
Still had no time to check them all. Will do it this night. I did not even post the teams.
I am almost ready with my car,but do I need to build two vehicles?
No, this is just optional if you want to try something out, as for example new concepts.
Thanks
We can submit two cars? Interesting⌠I might do that.
Originally I wasnât going to enter it but because we can enter two vehicles I decided why not.
Hey, CMT. Does it matter if the vehicle is slow?
If you want, you can dump my truck for a better design.
How slow is your car and just out of curiosity what makes it slow? Handling, weight, lack of power(this I doubt), lack of grip or terrible breaks(disc brakes for the 60âs though!)
Since Iâm unable to check the exact stats right now, I canât give you a precise number. Iâts around the 1 minute and 43 seconds mark in the Top Gear track.
For weight⌠Itâs a stupidly heavy truck. 11.2 in sportiness, it also acelerates at negative speeds.
I am busy with home improvement today, but Iâll name you the tracks this evening and we can see where is still a gap for a guest car. At the moment we have 3 of 6 possible. A CMT sedan, that van and the Scapelli driving with special permission.
Maybe you have the wish to adapt your cars to the tracks chosen, so I will also tell you of your cars are going with the rules or not
