Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

Will submit as soon I have a car that destroys the record

This is the fastest I have gotten a car to go around this track. It is a complete race car.

I am proud to present the Tavshed SS8-Race

It goes around the track in 1:10.65

The car is powered by an 8.5 liter V8 making 1279 HP and 871 Lb-Ft which revs to 8,700 RPM.

I can probably displace some of the other record holders once I get around to actually messing suspension tuning.

If you want your time to go on the board, you must PM it to me!

Was able to drop my 1:10.60 to a 1:10.56 but I just don’t think its possible to get a 1:10.5 rounded time in tech year 2014

I’m curious as to where that last 0.02-03s came from, I fiddled with my car using some of the tricks I learnt and pared it down to a 1:10.58 (which then changed to a 59 for reasons I haven’t figured out). It’s something to do with the various gaps in the slider adjustment and the balance, I suspect, but I agree, it looks like that’s probably a limit.

(Also the balance changes again for 2015 which actually makes the car harder to tune!)

Tweaked the motor a bit, it’s up to an even 1300hp now.

1300hp :open_mouth: wait, you’re not using the MR body are you? Coz I am, and I’m only running 1005hp!

Nope my buffalo is a good old fashioned front engine awd monster

hot diggity I just have to give this a burl, it’s interesting how similar the times got with completely different formats!

My car also manages a 1:10.56, but it is a MR car with 1100 or 1200 hp. I need to see if some more tweaking will help me, and I do have some ideas

I’ll post a screen cap of my lap in a bit,I wonder how our section times will match up?

Here’s the lap

This was long overdue.

-For the Production Car Leaderboard-

a.k.a. the “suck my exhaust Veyron” car

Hello,
Here is Blitz Automobile’s entry. We are currently only a small tuning shop, that’s why we use a well known German car.
We manage to fit a naturally aspirated 8.4L V8 Crossplane inside, it delivers ca 1100 hp at 8400 rpm.
It gets a respectable time, even if the tameness / sportiness values are not so impressive.

This is the race version. Reliability of the engine is 6000km or so, but that should be enough for a race car.

Might try our hand at a production model after this.

I had known that body had some unusual abilities, but nothing this crazy. This warrants further checking out for sure!

Back to the drawing board…

The tyres are the limiting factor imo and this one has good cornering due to larger tyres. I could not fit a 2000hp Turbo though :frowning:

Just to make sure, this is using 2014 tech, right?
