Automation Crowdsource IRL [ACIRL]

Introducing another one of my own challenges, I present the

Automation Crowdsource IRL

Where this time, there is no automation car. Instead we’ll be modding a REAL CAR! (theoretically speaking)

Some Background Info

As the host, I’ll provide the car for y’all to see, as well as a link to the car itself. The game is about the best guess of what to build and not an exact science. For of which the whole thing is “Laissez Faire”, of which you all put out ideas and then discuss about it as a group. The way you want to modify the car could part-by-part or everyone sending in different parts.

After some heavy deliberation, you must @ me and state the sentence: “@happyfireballman we are done + [LIST OF PARTS]” of which I’ll put the parts, their cost, and

Then we’ll go over the car itself for some reflection through a community google doc that I’ll arrange.

The Premise

Our budget: $30,000 which we are given to modify the car:

A 1964 Nissan Patrol, which is $6,995 which doesn’t eat into the existing budget.
Description of the vehicle:
"1965 Nissan Patrol 4x4. Has not run in two years, can run with minor work but will need tlc for more regular driving. All original minus front and rear bumpers, missing side doors and fuel pump was replaced 2 years ago. Used as a ranch vehicle. "

How should we create the modded trim in the first place? By cloning the trim and fast-forwarding the trim year of the new one to 2020 (as far as the game allows)?

Well, there isn’t going to be any building.
More so that there’ll be a spreadsheet, a google doc, and pic collage of the parts you guys search and discuss about. This is just figuring out with a community, what would be the best way to modify a car. With no objective goal in mind, the next host if there’s one would be by volunteering. So this is something more chill like surfing the web rather than building a car itself

I can see how the cost works using the value of parts in the engineering section but is there some kind of way of putting a price on fixtures?

If I understand this correctly this is not actually an Automation challenge. I’m not even sure if this could be called a challenge or competition  More like some community game with no winners/losers?

If my understanding is correct, then I think this should be moved to Off Topic for clarity.

Sorry for the late replies, but we’ll use the price provided on a website/seller’s page as such:

Like with this seat costing us $59.99, of which we’ll add it to an open spread sheet to see what the total cost is.
