Given that this is a bit of a historical setting, and I don’t have any company like other members…

Peniston Motor House “La Polonez” GTT-R 20v LE

In the early 1990’s, a race team entered the BTCC with a race spec FSO Polonez, in order to try and boost Polonez sales in the UK. Unfortunately, due to the ageing overstressed engines and outdated suspension designs, the car did not fare particularly well. The car was regularly at the back of the grid or on a DNF, and was withdrawn due to funding issues at the end of the season.

Given the failure of the team, this suddenly meant that somewhere in a disused warehouse, there was everything required to start a race team.

In early 1995, a thriving tuning shop in South Yorkshire had ambitions of starting a race team. Unfortunately for them they were on a low budget, but they managed to make contact with the then owner of the remnants of the failed Polonez BTCC car. They managed to strike a deal to purchase the entire lot of items, and so began development of the new car. Peniston were engine tuning specialists, and had already developed a 2.0 engine that met the then current regulations. After upgrading suspension and brake components, and fitting their own engine, the team managed to get a sponsorship deal with Halfords, who provided them with body styling components. This deal allowed them to enter the upcoming season of the ATCC, where they hoped to gain a wider exposure of their work.

Even with the upgrades performed by Peniston, the design of the car was relatively outdated, although with their more modern engine and suspension setup, they hoped it would allow them to be reasonably competitive throughout the season, and progress on to better platforms in the future.

Fusil Motorsport present the Osprey.

HEEERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!!!

(haha sorry, just noticed this was your first post, welcome!)

This is a massive grid now, almost 30 cars. There’s some serious competition in here too, and I won’t lie, I did take like 4 hours to tune the car, so here’s to hoping for a podium finish!

I am pleased to announce that number of entries is way greater than my expectations, we now have 30 qualified entries!
With this number, the scoring system will be changed, again. Now the first 20 cars will get points, as stated on the OP.

Keep them coming people, only 56 hours remaining!

I can’t help but think I need to re-design, but I just can’t be bothered at this point
Just have to see how it goes.

Just…gonna leave this here. :stuck_out_tongue:

So that’s what your driver arrived in?

…and then proceeded to compete in

Or, my real reaction: YES. SOMEBODY DID IT. SOMEBODY’S RACING IN THE VAN. Oh my god that’s just awesome hahaha. I genuinely want to see it do well.

Is anyone racing FWD?

The benchmark car, Leo’s, is. Also, Niall is too. Dunno if anybody else is though.

Anyone who wants to be a hero is using FWD

hahaha oh my, I have to say that’s a pretty convincing argument.

I have 6 FWD cars, from these 3 are turbos and 3 NA

Interesting…

Terrific turnout you’ve got!

This is shaping up to be the best forum contest since the bygone days of the BRC!
