Automation Touring Championship(Race 1 of 4)

Is there a limit on quality points for anything else on the car besides the engine and aero? I was thinking of going with -15 quality on safety and then putting like +7/8 on tires, but I’m not sure if that’s in the spirit of the challenge.
Also, what is the difference between the soft limits and hard limits? If I go over $45k budget, do I get any penalties for it?

Thank you for catching that! I meant to implement a few things, including quality limits, once the rules deliberation endee, but I seem to have forgotten! There’s a general -5 to +5 rule now. As for penalties, going over the price limit may or may not have a small time penalty placed on the car, depending on how far over the price limit it went.

Would this be referring to the soft limit of $45k, or the hard limit of $50k?

Also, I see that active aero isn’t explicitly banned. I know rule deliberation is over, but no race car to my knowledge has active aero. Would it be a good idea to ban active aero of all types?

I implemented some info on pricing limits in the New Info section.

As for banning active aero. While that is something that I completely overlooked, I had hoped that the rules would imply that things like active aero isn’t in the spirit of the challenge. I’ll implement a ban against active aero, unless I recieve a protest against it.

I was kind of assuming it was banned given the type of vehicle, but since it wasn’t explicitly mentioned, my brain thought it was technically legal.
