AutomationHub - Show your designs!

A lot lf the issues seem to be specific for certain users, as all the bugs found in the extensive testing phases were all fixed. Some abnormalities may also have been caused during the migration of the site database from the developer server to the live server.

We want you to know that we are working all we can to fix bugs as soon as we know what’s going on, and when an issue is fixed, you will know about it. Patience is key during this bumpy first period after launch but I assure you, we are working hard to get this base site completely user friendly and bug free before we begin adding features. Bart may elaborate on the technical side of things if needed!
The site will not allow me to post up a car…

I add in all the specs,

Make the pics to be your recommended sizes, add my discription, hit create or add but then it just reloads the car creator page…
I might know what’s happening. Are you using quotations by any chance? ('or " ?). That should be fixed by now.
Could you be more precise on what you specifically do and what steps you do?
Weren’t you logged out in the mean time? If I’m not mistaken, it auto-logs out after 1 hour unless you have clicked remember me.

If the issue still occurs, please send me a PM with more info on all the steps you did so we can work out a solution.
I’ve been trying out some things myself but haven’t had issues so far.

ok so this is what I am doing,

 1. load page ( car showroom )

 2. click on " ADD "

 3. where it says “ModelName” I type Charma Arrow

 4. I then select the year, 2010

 5. I select my engine as unspecified because I am still tweaking it and will edit it later.

 6. I then load up a picture of the current stats of the motor in this size 1177px x 212px

 7. I then add three pictures that are this size 1177px x 435px for showing what the car looks like.

 8. I hit the " ADD " button, and then I just get re directed back to the " ADD CAR MODEL " page.

thats all that I am doing, I am starting to wonder if its because I havent yet made up an engine but I dont see why that should matter?

Hmm, it should definitely work with an unspecified engine. Not quite sure what could be going on here. Maybe just type Arrow as the Model name and see if that fixes it.

I know what went wrong. You didn’t fill in Additional Information. We have that on our to do list to not make that a required field and if not filled in, automatically put in ‘No additional information’. So if you manually type that into the Additional Information box, it will work.

awesome I will try that when I get a chance thanks Wizzy and Pleb

1946-58 Grand Tourer line
2001-04 Agro line
2009-present GT line

and a couple engines

The site only works here if I use a proxy to acess. :open_mouth:
Got ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT without proxy.

Never ever saw or heard that happen before?!
What country are you from anyway? And what country do you use the proxy from?

I’m from Brazil.
I’ve used the ninjacloak.com/ which i dont know from what country it is. :stuck_out_tongue:

Weird, since we have multiple users from Brazil using our website without any problems at all.
The problems must be on your end, I’m afraid. We have absolutely no indication that it would be on our end.

It looks like somebody went in and gave everybody a 1 star rating, everyone’s rating dropped by a bunch

lol you noticed that too huh Nate? If you look at the other Hub thread, Wizzy et al did also notice somebody spamming accounts, so I don’t know what’s going on just yet with the scores.

My rating seems to have been copping a beating from multiple accounts anyway, we seem to be the company people love to hate, maybe that’s what I get for being so obnoxious

I went from a 4.something to a 3.33 and only gained 1 vote, and everyone else went from high 4’s to mid to low 3’s… we haven’t even hit the steam launch yet and the trolls have shown up.

Eh I expected as much. That’s why it wouldn’t pay to really pay too much attention to the ranking (though as I said elsewhere I’m not sure that’s enough to scrap it altogether). Also it’s early days yet and I suspect if the system is successful, then the number of people using the system in good faith should vastly outnumber those who are abusing the system.

I updated the AutomationHub post in the General chat with our answer to the trolls. Trolling will come at a price, of 25 dollars per account now  (Automation accounts that is! Not AutomationHub!)

Is AutomationHub down?

Yes. 24-48 hours.

Yes, indeed, as stated above by CobaltGirl to our main thread. We are upgrading to a bigger upgraded webhost, so the site will have little issues handeling traffic if Stream hits. Imaging 2000 people registering to the site, making companies, uploading cars and engines and our webspace gets full or we have big traffic on the site… nobody will like that. I’m 100% sure of that.

So before we get bombed, we try to prepare already.
