Founded in Fruinia in 1970 by Jean Spander. This company was founded with the firm belief that design should not be reserved to luxury car, and that the best cars are the one for everyone.
The company makes car that does not only look good, but are reliable and economic.

Tip : you can make the car drift with the handbrake, even though it’s a front wheel drive!

Spander SP 2020, the brand new generation of light sport supercar.

The Spander BE from 1975. The brand also wanted some regular cars, but the designers tried to make it noticable.

The Spander BE from 1987. Made to take the place of the BE from 1975 whose style was getting quite old by the end of the 80’s. It’s an inexpensive car of medium performance but with a nice stylling.

The Spander BE from 1998. The brand started to make more comfortable and tame car, yet the style reamains quite nice. This car is quite cheap, but more powerful than the 87 version with 92 hp.

The Spander BE from 2012, a nice revamping of the BE serie. Economic and stylish, this car is still in production today.

Small, old, quircky, slow and cheap, the Spander CI from 1976 is a nice hatchback that will not disappoint you. It’s only 32 hp, but it’s just good enough. Really.

The Spander CI from 1985. This car is much more compact than the 1976 version, yet the interior is not smaller. This car is 50 hp, it’s a decent power for a car this small and considering the era.

The Spander CI from 1999, it’s a small hatchback designed for cities. It has some nice design for a car of that kind.

The Spander FA from 1986, the first family utility car from Spander. It’s large, stylish, not that comfortable, but kinda affordable.

The Spander Souffle from 1990, a concept car that was supposed to be a real car. But it’s unpractical design made it unsellable. The name came after the rejection of the model, otherwise it would have been regulars letters for naming.

Most of your concepts have rear wheel spats (a common feature of many French cars), which makes them look like they belong in science-fiction action thrillers such as Blade Runner (especially for the 80s cars) or Demolition Man (particularly the 90s models). However, rear wheel spats seem unnecessary for some of your newer designs (00s and 10s) - today’s designers have to leave all four wheels exposed as a styling feature due to legislation changes.
