to fully apologize for the extent of which I have caused you problems in this
role-play/competition, I think I
owe you a sincere apology. This will come from the
pit of my heart, and you better believe that.
Starting off, I have to say that I do understand that my actions have caused you
undue hardships, and ones that have in all probability
caused you to put forth more effort into this than you needed to. You have a
knack for this, and I appreciate that you have
started and plan to finish this.
Due to what I have done, it is my
intention to stop posting on this thread, and to stop being
caustic towards the forum members. So, I
kneel before you, and truly say sorry.
Dastardly deeds are not often forgiven, but I hope that you are
able to forgive mine. Again, my
intent was not to harm or offend anyone here. Also again, this will be my
last statement on any forums to
you.
So, to conclude, it is a mostly
terrible thing to do to
ruin a thread in such a way, no matter what forum it is in,
or what it is about, especially because of
personal reasons.
It is stupid for someone to
show up and ruin it.

I’ve heard about the craziness going on in this thread from the IRC, and I’ve been following it for the past day or so. You might want to have a chat with the moderators about this in particular. To be honest, I think the RP is going a bit too far, and is by-and-large unnecessary. Maybe the problem is localized to a few members, but this seems to be a bit crazy.

Good thing I have people vetting posts here. I was almost about to feel awkward at that grovelling apology and accept it so we could all just move on.

Far be it from my intention to snub you Kubby, but… if I put it in right now, it would cause a continuity issue ;_; Can I save it for later? (Because we haven’t even gotten to the second half which takes place in Europe, and, as you will see pretty soon, we start getting the wrong kind of attention from all kinds of law enforcement…)
As Cen inferred earlier, from prior moderation experience elsewhere, unfortunately some people have either a) nothing to do in their lives b) a severe deficiency of meaningful social connections, and those people sometimes latch on to and cause low level harrassment until they get bored or run out of patience loading up proxies and making new fake email accounts. On the plus side, we don’t really have to do all that much about it since it burns itself out eventually if you don’t let it get to you too much. The only point at which it really starts getting out of hand is if they start doing something that requires the attention of a federal agency.
That being said, prepare for the next round to proceed!
