nice to be on the top half of both classes with my cars for now on each stage with each car a 15 second gap to the stage winners and in overall classment a solid 25-28 seconds behind. looks like iām the joe sixpack of the rally
It seems that many predictions came true this stage, which means that we are all thinking on the right track. This result confirms that the WRT Turbo cars are slightly biased towards the higher speed stages compared to other front runners, given that weāve just had the slowest stage of all. What will happen next!? Who got the balance right??
And Iāll second that Stryfe did something amazing with that turbo we used.
One thing I would like to add is that I understand that the WRT teams have probably spent a significantly greater amount of time than the vast majority of competitors in this BRC (I know Iām actually hooked to this game in a bad way and need to find a way to partially cure it!). In a way this makes the playing field uneven; to draw an analogy it would be like the real life competition in which independent privateer teams would find it difficult to compete with cashed up dedicated large motorsport corporations (weāre like RBR and McLaren etc. muahahaha). Unfair? It is, in the same way that life is unfair, but in a way itās also fair: generally you get out what you put in.
Perhaps the message may be a bit dulled because itās coming from a privileged position, but the way Iād think about it is that some teams are there deliberately aiming to set the benchmark, whereas others are there for less committed reasons and are pleased just to be part of something big. The most important thing for competition, IMHO, is to aim to get out what you can put in. For us, thatād be putting our combined knowledge together to set the fastest possible time (which generally means weāre aiming to win too obviously ). Some independent contestants are giving us a good run for our money, which is great. For others, itās throwing together something for laughs and seeing where in the pack it lands. And for others, it means creating replicas of old cars (Iām pretty sure I saw razyx submit a Touring Alfa in the 1100 class too). We all have different approaches and the variety and spread in the field shows it, which is great. But whatās even better is that most people Iāve seen have realistic expectations, so thereās lots of people being pleased at their placings, and lots of pleasant surprises.
The consistent message Iāve seen from the developers is that the multiplayer mode levels the field by setting short time limits (itās only uneven in that it depends on how familiar you are with the way things workā¦), and I support this in the interests of multiplayer entertainment. Iāve tried speed playing the scenarios to see how this would pan out, and it sure makes things tougher!
I am surprise at my S1000 cars 12th place finish in the slow leg. Thatās pretty good.
I am not very surprised by my BRC1100 finish.
Hmmmā¦
My result on BRC 1100 is something I did not expect. At all.
Great job all!
Iām glad to see that my car didnāt lose too much time in the slow second, still 10th, better than expected.
And damn WRT team, makes me regretting to not continue developing a high power V8, since I had one at 650hp and lowered it due to the -52.5% tameness penalty , oh well, decisions decisions and Stryfe made a better one, kudos to him.
One thing that I have mixed feelings about is that Der Bayerās work is participating without weight penalty, even though itās his teammate using it
Just the engines and my models have been built by me. My teammate built the platforms and his models alone.
Iām very impressed with BerzerKoRās car so far. 6th in both the faster stage and the very slow stage leads me to believe he found a very good balance. I expect heāll be finishing in the top few spots
Apparently, the Golimar Incognito Mille (my Super 1000 shoebox) will only drop places as time goes on.
On the other hand, the Golimar Tweety (the BRC1100 one) might get somewhere along the middle. Quite nice.
Also: my next competition entry will show the full might of Golimar Automotive!
Starting with proper car names.
EDIT: um. Is it possible to change the names for the next stages, to those I used in this post?
54th this time, moved up 4 spots in the overall rankings, but this was likely to be my best stage.
Time will tell.
I lost 5 spots on this one, unfortunately.
Such is the folly of throwing my carās setup together in around 3 - 4 minutes.
only 4 places up on, heads will definately roll at the wrexham engineering department.
are there any 4 cylinder cars in the top 10? using a v8 never crossed my mind because of the size restriction.
thanks to der bayer for putting so much effort into this and making it as exciting as it is.

Which category? My BRC 1100 car uses a V 8 and my S1000 car uses an I 6.
Woohoo! 27th in BRC 1100 and #9 in Super 1000, Iām climbing the ranks!!!
Super proud of my Super 1000 carā¦ thatās the one I was counting on to do ok. Hope I didnāt just hit its peak.
The Zoom S1000 have suprised everyone in ŽnopreŔk.
We didnāt expect to arrive first in the second stage. We were expecting a performance not so far form the Stage 1, but the great work done by Reparto Performance have gained us the highest place in the podium. Rise the glass and toss! We have some champagne bottle in ŽnopreÅ”k pavillion. Everyone is invited.
On the BRC1100 side, now we are a little more confident that we could archieve the 12th place in the overall chart, but we are still not going to bet anything on it. There are 4 more days of competition ahead of us and anything could happend.

Am more than impressed with your efforts, looks like we have a bit of a fight going on in Super 1000. Is your Super 1000 Awd or Rwd?

The results of Stage 3 have just arrived! You can find them in this GoogleDocs folder:
BRC results
Iām closing in on a top 20 spot for BRC 1100 .
The Estate CE 1800R TT is doing very fine. Considering itās made mainly for towing and not really rallying. It pleases everybody on the Conan Carsā motorsport branch very much. The 4 cylinder, 1.8 litre CONANTECHā¢ engine proved to works perfectly fine in a medium cruising speed environment. While returning great fuel economy, 8mpg! That aināt bad for a rally car.
After the rally, the Estate CE 1800R TT will be available on the market, competitively price, with full 1 year warranty (Not including the engine).
wow 31st place on the third stage! the threat of firing all staff of my team seems to have worked.

brc 1100 of course! i wonder which the fastest 4 and 6 cylinder cars are.
Iām at 17th with a turbo 4 anyone higher?
