Bavarian Rallye Challenge: The Real Deal [FINISHED]

Currently the fastest 4 cylinder cars are conan_murder, Ile69 and Razyx (P9-11 overall). The fastest 6 cylinder cars are BerzerKor (P3), darkjedi (P12) and Reaper392 (P13).

Iā€™ll fight you for it! My second stage let me down big time though.

Thatā€™s amazing that the 4 cylinder cars are doing so well. Is it a drivability thing?

Great work Der Bayer and helpers! The top 6 in Brc 1100 are really leaving the rest of the feild behindā€¦ an epic David vs Goliath battle between Team WRT and Ulukay and BerzerKoR. The Golf 1000 and Znopresk car have pretty much left the field for dead in Super 1000 by almost 10 seconds! :astonished:

I feel like my Volvo is really held back becuase of its Limited 15" brake rotors and well over 1.0 Aero efficiency from being a brickā€¦ it is really struggling to hold its great start out of the box

I got the CRX-like body and i got around 1.2 aero efficiency

Good to see my car is clawing its way back up the table after the horrors of the second stage. Also, I didnā€™t realise mine was the third fastest I6 so far, with a very good fight for that second spot.

Iā€™m .08s behind you with my 6  looks like this battle just got serious :smiling_imp:

It could be very interesting. Its actually surprising how close your two cars are over all of the stages so far, with the Volvo being a tenth or two faster than the Hermes on the high speed tracks, while the Hermes is a tenth or two faster than the Volvo on the lower speed tracks.

One interesting thing is your mention of the aero efficiency. I donā€™t have the exact figure, but I believe my car has a drag coefficient of 1.06 (the stat in the list in the testing page, not the stat in the aero page, I donā€™t know what that was). On its own this wouldnā€™t be much to write home about, but my car has considerable downforce whereas, on first impressions, your Volvo doesnā€™t look like it has much in the way of downforce at all, yet, by what you said, might have even worse drag

Iā€™d be really curious which cars used what type of engine. My BRC1100 is an I6 3.0L N/A. Currently I am in 30th, after losing a spot in Stage3. After Stage2 I gained 14 spots!

All WRT cars use V8 engines.

C-Squared Motorsportā€™s BRC engine is a 1.8L i4T.

Ouchā€¦ I think my cars fell off a cliff.

Hey Wildkarde, from the looks your engine is very good and on paper the chassis stats look good. I think with more optimisation it would be a real winner.

Golimar Automotiveā€™s first foray into competitive racing has, so far, fulfilled the companyā€™s modest expectations.

Our R&D team is focusing into advancements in engine and suspension designs for future endeavors.

Iā€™m very curious to find out what that picture in your signature is going to beā€¦
It looks like a tool for making custom Automation tracks

It is indeed a tool for making tracks.

Why yes, yes it is!

It might take a while, though; Iā€™m still struggling a bit with the librariesā€¦

Well by the looks of things, the UI looks very good aesthetically and it looks easy to use too.

In testing I have discovered I picked a bad body for my BRC 1100 car but I did have some fun testing out a new and more powerful engine. Some changes planned for next time using stuff learned from this run so far.

Maybe I can do better next time.

Iā€™m using an I6T, and a V8N (canā€™t recall if CP or FP). So far Iā€™m doing pretty good with the 1100 class, considering I focused on the shakedown stages as my test series, which seemed to have been slightly more geared towards higher speeds. Next time Iā€™ll probably redo the turbo so it works on the mid-range far better and only keeps the top end somewhat close to what a NA engine could do.

After further analysis and revision of my entry I obviously need more aero work. My submission has two lips and no wings and thatā€™s where my mediocre Cornering Gs are coming from.
