Bocian Transport Company

Bocian is a Polish (in imaginary world, where Poland wasn’t communist) company found in 1949. Their first vehicles were… bicycles. In 1956 they decided to make their first car. It was a success, so a year later they made a facelift of their car, still producing bikes. In 1959 they made their second car, and ended their bike journey and focused on cars.

Witam przyjacielu

Picking up the idea of post-war western bloc Poland? Interesting.

Their first model was called “Fammer”. They were produced slowly, but it had a reason, these cars were expensive. There was no need to produce just few a month, because it could lead to bankrupt.

B1s stands for Basic 1 sedan
B1w stands for Basic 1 wagon
S1 stands for Sport 1
(Yeah, those are English, but it’s easier to understand to most people :stuck_out_tongue:)

Fammer facelifts were more premium, but their name didn’t change from B (Basic) because it isn’t new model, but just facelift. It doesn’t mean that they don’t have new engines.
B1 engine - 63hp 109nm B2 engine - 66hp 109nm
S1 engine - 91hp 177nm S2 engine - 99hp 183nm
The price changed too:
B2s - 18900$
B2w - 19100$
S2 - 20200$
They were produced even less, so profit was lower. All models were bought tho.

Looks solid throughout. I’m not too keen on the overlapping headlights and indicators though.

In 1959 Bocian made an… offroad car.
P1 (Premium 1) and B1 had the same engine, but P1 had much better interior.
B1 was better family car, because of better reliability, better gas mileage
(P1 - 16.1l/100km B1 - 15.7l/100km) and lower price. There are visible differences
so P1 are very noticable.

Just a year later Bocian made Sportiv. There were two variants
PS1 (Premium Sport) 21900$
LS1 (Luxury sport) 25200$

These were expensive, so only few models were produced. All of them were bought by some politicians.
There were two engines for two variants 112hp for PS1 and 141hp for LS.

They were producing these so slowly, they made another car after five years.
