and the R5 aswell! Think about it, small hatches vs muscle cars vs some MR vs 911…It’s like goodwood historic racing

EDIT: Might have said it too quickly. Despite low weight I’m not sure this car could be competitive…

Interesting, up to this point I’ve been using only one screen while I was fixing the power supply inside my second monitor. As soon as I got it fixed and plugged back in the BRC Tool began crashing, so I thought maybe I could use Fraps to record the problem. Then I realized that Fraps was preventing the problem (and that it wouldn’t capture the crash screen).

Except with just a few more turbos
Hope someone can find a way of recreating the gorgeous smell of slightly unburnt petrol that is synonymous with Godowood too…

How long left to submit cars for next testing? I have my car ready to go but I still can’t send attachments in PM

EDIT: attachments working now, have sent submission

Just sent my updated entry, $9999.96 instead of $8962. Should be slightly better.

Damn mines only $9999.15, you sir really know how to squeeze the budget

wew, you guys are penny pincher.

on another news. i’m only making a LITTLE bit of progress, from mid 2:12 to high 2:11… dammit.

who would fucking know that i could get better times on -0.2 front camber than -0.5 camber… certainly wasn’t me

edit:
does oversteering tendency puts any stress/pressure on the driver?

as far as i know the stress/pressure on the driver is shown by the difficulty in the BRC tool

-0.2 may just suit the rest of your suspension settings better, if you’re increasing front camber you have to adjust rear camber and/or spring stiffness/sway bar stiffness to work with it, more negative camber generally means better times if tuned right

okay. only purely looking at the difficulty.

i could get to almost 2:10 now, but with -3.0 rear camber
and with a >1 ton car, 29.7/70.3 bias. it may be fast in the qualifiying, but it’s a deathtrap after a few laps.

i’m not doing it, but i’m already pretty close to it.

I finally revised my car. It’s not anywhere near as fast as the others’, but I wanted to try a different design choice.

Can someone suggest a competitive body (or point me to the post where it has been done already). I’ve seen some suggestions further back in the discussion, but I failed to take good notes.

I hope @Der_Bayer checks his inbox in time, so my updated entry makes it into the next test.

I sent in a Pantera, wonder how it fares against the Porsches.

i don’t even remember what i sent in for today …

Wasn’t the next test tonight? Or has ā€œReal Lifeā€ interfered?

It was planned to be in 4 minutes. But maybe I won’t be able to do it tonight, so maybe tomorrow morning.

I’ll answer all of the questions of the last few days then, too.

I tried to get $4k off my entry from the Hokenheim race, but I am stuck at $11k with absolutely nowhere left to remove quality without dipping the engine under 40 reliability. Guess I have to build a new car…

my new car is on 29.6

don’t worry too much about it

my engine is at a 17.4 for reliability with a total reliability of 48.4 for the entire car.

That’s way below my comfort zone. Maybe that’s why my car is slow.
