BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

I set myself a limit of 35…

got 24,x reliability here, it still make me feel worry a little bit

jeez you guys are dipping a bit low in reliability, mines at 40ish

IIRC Der Bayer mention that recomended engine reliability is 30, but with mentioned current BRC version will be less random from crash and engine blown up due reliability issue(except you going cheap)

According to the graph, going 20 ish is where you have to expect 1 engine failure (on average) over the season … I also set myself at the recommended 30 as a minimum.

according to this graph, im at the limit. but i dont knownif current versionnuse different version

my ladder chassis 2:12.7 car had 46 reliability in the brctool but as i finally found a way to get faster, but that way is the only way i know, and it’s dropping my reliability.

as 30 is the recomended number, i set 30 as my target. 29.6 is close enough. it’s still a litlle bit out of my comfort zone.

but then again, you won’t gain anything if you don’t do something different or crazy in the brc

wow, if I had realized people were comfortable with such low reliabilities I would have dumped engine quality and gotten a car submission in for today… crap

Welp, that was a start. Its fast enough now, I just need to work on fuel and tire wear.

well fuck me… my new car is actually slower and losing more time per lap…

Ask me about 26% tyre degradation with -1.2 camber.

So I could just make a 2 pit per race strategy with the current fuel consumption and tire wear, but looking at the 2.5kg/s refuel rate i’m actually better off leaving fuel consumption, increasing camber and going for a 3 pit strategy

I don’t get it. In-game I shaved off my entry around 0.7 seconds / lap, decreased the camber and now in BRC it’s no faster than my previous entry and almost the same tyre wear too. I’m out.

Good, because we don’t want tryhard quitters like you who give up when things don’t go his way!

I think @Matti makes a good point though, if in game progress doesn’t translate to BRC progress it’s pretty stink to those that were feeling good about their progress going into the test. Not blaming the simulation in any way, just have a bit of sympathy for those that saw their hard work not pay off.

Implying the rest of us isn’t putting a lot of work into the cars and are unhappy about their performance.

Instead of ragequitting instantly, one could just talk to me why he thinks there’s something fishy. I’m interested in fixing things where they are wrong and explaining effects which might not be too obvious. I will compare the two cars made by Matti and see if I can find anything.

Could be also a bug, that the BRC Tool didn’t save the correct trim (I have multiple trims). I’m still checking this one.

Hmmmm… the other explanation I have atm is that there is something with the tyre dimensions. My previous tyres were 195/265 R14 with 650mm diameter and the car was slower around 1.25s compared to ingame and now they’re 185/265 R15 with 675mm diameter and now its slower around 1.75s compared to ingame.

Edit: I won’t be quitting, it was just a rage-moment.
Edit2: The selected trim is correct.

You know, what I find really weird is how turbo cars don’t seem to be affected by the additional fuel weight like the NA cars. My first entry, a turbo, was pretty much spot on but the NA since then lost several seconds because of the added fuel.
