BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

Hmm, not looking good for my car. At least during the last series I had overwhelming reliability to go on, not this time around.
Incidentally, is this season likely to have many crashes? If so I have a vehicle I can offer the services of.

@07CobaltGirl I was waiting for that comment. I was going to tag you if I didn’t see it before long.

I thought that if you were going to run out of fuel then your car would automatically come in to pit?

Unless your car is coming to the white flag.

Also if you’re outside of the unscheduled pitstop window you set in BRC tool then you won’t stop

No, if you are low on fuel the car will out, regardless of any pit windows. The only exception is the very last lap.

edit: new post just to make sure.

Yes it does.

hahaha

@rcracer11m
It has happened once in all the BRC races. Last lap at Monza, 1955. Less than 100m from finish line! In theory, though, you should not run out of fuel in a race.

hahahahaha

I do believe you coasted across the line to finish, though.

…or is my memory incorrect?

Yes, I think I did coast, but Brobot recorded it as a DNF anyway. Der Bayer corrected it? I’d honestly have to go back and watch it again to be certain of the details. I only remember my car running out of fuel. haha

OK, so here is a car running out of fuel. It seems I ran out of fuel on the final straight, just before the finish and coasted over the finish line (@46:50 into the video), losing one spot in the process. Prylix realized it about a minute later and spent the next 3 minutes talking about it. Ultimately, it is still possible, but very unlikely, to run out of fuel in the BRC.

Hell, that’s where light weight gives you the advantage, get out and push!

14 cars so far for the car review.

will try to put something together for the reviews tomorrow.

most likely it has already been said but i couldnt find it anymore:

  1. are the values for tyre changes in the tool based on track humidity or rain intensity?
  2. does a rain intensity of 50% eventually lead to a track humidity of 100%?
  1. track humidity
  2. 50% rain will lead to max. 50% humidity

Sorry, run out of time to send strat before work, it’ll be sent in ~6 hours from this post. :anguished: I ran out of time. I hope that’s ok. Think it gives me like, 2 hours because of the time zones.

Took me a bit to get my head around it. Shouldn’t have left it to today. Maths really isn’t my strong suit.

Deadline is 8h 15m from now
