In F1 they only start working on next years car once the rules have been finalised. The fuel tanks are also twice as big.
Hint hint.

Question about race strategy: will we always get a full fuel tank when pitting for fuel?
Youāll get as much as you need to the next planned stop or end of the race (with some safety margin).
Edit: If a full tank isnāt enough to get there, youāll just get a full tank and do an unplanned for fuel when itās empty.

Also, will the wet weather mean that we use more fuel per lap?
Usually you will use a bit less.
Process faster, YouTube!!! hahaha
HA! my #33 qualified 33rdā¦ nailed it! all my work was not in vainā¦
Itās a really tight field. Look at how close everyone is.
4th aināt a bad starting position, looking forward to Sunday!
10-33 in one second!
This is going to be good (unless some BANG happensā¦)
So true
Same here. Itās a lot of fun building cars for these competitions, even if it can be ferociously infuriating. And 1000hp, if realistically achievable, sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
I forgot the rules do actually change in F1 for a moment there. I think I once read an article on the sport that was talking about Mercedes designing the car for something two seasons ahead, but I think I may have miss remembered that.
And while Iād love to analyse qualifying times, Iāve had a power cut where I live, and I donāt want to waste my precious 500mb of data streaming video, however agonising the wait isā¦
11thā¦ you knowā¦ it couldāve gone betterā¦ but iāll take it
my car isnāt one of the highest powered ones.
Heyā¦ I am still the fastest FWD around!
Its not the most helpful thing now, but it will boost sales for sure
Yes! Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!
ahem
I am quite pleased with that, didnāt expect it. Certainly it will help me plan for the stops, just need a solid start.
I have a point! I have a single little point.
And it is perfect in every way.
@HowlerAutomotive Cherish that point. Bless it. Show it your love. Never let it go.
Also, @EnryGT5, I hope you donāt mind me breathing down your neck in the opening few laps of the race. The ultimate test of my car will be whether a āprofessionalā race team can beat a track-prepped off-roader!
and iām just gonna race my tiresā¦ who goes out firstā¦ my driver, my car, or my tires
Man, I really screwed myself with having slightly too small fuel tank or slightly too high consumption on this track!! If I spend as much as during practise I will be 4,2kg short of finishing on 1 pit stop, so after 85 laps I will have to pit for the remaining 3 laps
But when it rains it consumes less so there is a chance I could make it on just one stop, which in theory might get me 6 positions ā¦ Should I risk it? Decisions, decisions
I faced the same decision but decided to just risk it. Its not possible to actually run out of fuel so why not?
