I’ll suggest to read the OP carefully. Everything is explained there.
Indeed, it would be such a shame, I would hate to see that happen
Not if I have to do anything with that (hopefully)
Look at your car when it starts practice with a full fuel load and fresh tires. Then look at your car at qualifying. That first lap time from the respective sessions is the difference. You could also probably guesstimate tire wear under light loads based on your qualifying wear vs. your practice wear after 20 laps
am going for a 3 stop race. To make the first stop my calculator says I need 68.8kg of fuel, I have a 68.1kg tank… but my calculator factors in a bit of overhead… Go big or go home I guess!
With no weather predicted to shake this one up the only thing that is going to shake up the order is how many stops people need and crashes, hopefully that puts me a bit closer to the top as I can see a few people ahead of me need 4 or more stops
good thing the upcoming race has no weather, found a large number of errors in my excel calculations… honestly surprised it was so close to the actual results.
you still trust that weather prediction?
well, i see it now as more of a guideline, instead of a real prediction.
The weather pattern has been fairly accurate so far, just the timing and heavier than predicted spikes that have been unpredictable, I would expect some light rain spikes but anything more would just be pure bad luck
Thanks for the help @rcracer11m and @KLinardo
I’m really looking forward to this race. It’ll be a proper test of who has the fastest car and the best strategy in the dry.
Whoa P&Q that soon? Anyway, this went better than expected :9[quote=“CriticalSet9849, post:1546, topic:16817”]

(I really don’t want to jinx myself) and possible SC although I believe we don’t have as many fatal crashes (I remember that was one of the brobot updates) and engine boooms this season (met_at won with 19 reliability).
Engine reliability calculations are unchanged. I bet a lot on at least one engine failure for me_rat during the season.
Turbos should have gotten a reliability penalty. It’s not the 70s without turbo fires imo.
Here comes the rain analysis for the second race.
It’s very hard to make good data readout out of the provided information. Therefore take some ± 5% into account. But you get the idea how the rain behaves.
I bet a lot of people are worried about reliability after that last race, two engine failures with just over 30 reliability I believe there was, and there are plenty of people with less reliability, including some of the front-runners which could be interesting. mel_at is playing Russian roulette every race with that reliability, will be the luckiest guy on earth if he doesn’t have an engine failure this season.
@Pboy123 let me help you finding it in case you really have problem
most basic setup and rules already stated in first post and BRC booklet, if you have problem just use double ctrl+F on first post to finding keyword you need
my strategy worked perfectly fine, if just the weather would have cooperated
Seconded.
My strategy is definitive. Reality is frequently inaccurate.
Hi there! I just bought Automaiton! Is it too late to join the season? because if not, then I would want to participate.
Is far too late, sorry bud.
