BRC 1976 - Under Pressure [E8-Q]

OK.

I thought I fell so far behind because my car was still on slicks for the entire race, it wasnā€™t though and had made the entire race on three sets of tyres and one and a half tanks of fuel, now those would be impressive stats if my car didnā€™t weigh 1300kg and have 6 Liters of tyre frying stupidity under the bonnet.

And then, in all the mess of watching my overweight lead-sled being skated around amazingly it only went and got to 10th place for the better part of 3 seconds and managed to hold onto 11th for a lap!

decent comback drive after an 80% plus damage crash on the first or second lap, we were lucky to get the car back out considering its extencive damage

Not a bad race; qualified in P22 and finished in P11; my strategy came very close to working, I only missed the ideal window by a lap or two at each pit window.

It will be interesting to see how I do at the next race; with little to no rain and high speeds, Norisring is definitely not on a favourable track for my car.

So, my strategy was basically no pitting until 47% race distance in, so that first bad crash basically doomed my car. Sorry to anyone my car crashed into after that first crash. The reasoning behind doing it was to make sure only one pitstop was done.

Yeah, not the greatest race for me. Hopefully my car can rise up and be a little better in the later races of the seasonā€¦

Going well so far, two top 10 finishes in two races that werenā€™t that favourable for me. Letā€™s wait for the faster tracks

Let me get my review out

It was a great race and as always kudos to the team of commentators, stream was great, loved the drifting theme

As for my carā€¦ first race I started 10th, fought for 2nd, crashed and dropped to 45th and finished 5th, this one started 16th and finished 4th. It shows that qually pace is not equal to race pace. Iā€™m glad strategy played out as it should, although I wish for less safety margin. I believe lighter and/or NA and/or eco cars are more efected by that, but oh well maybe someday a checkbox-I want to gamble with my fuel ;). To be honest itā€™s not that big of a dealā€¦itā€™s just nice to find excuses for not finishing a spot ahead (thatā€™s what racing drivers do you know). I hope that good reliability and difficulty will bring me consistent top 5 finishes.

Aaaand looking forward to the next one!

After many discussions, the Katana Racing Team have decided to unveil why our driver was racing through every corner sideways. Two days before the race started, our american driver was beaten to death by his wife for getting mud on the carpet. We were not aware of this and had to switch our driver to the nearest person who had a drivers licence, that man being the 50 year old finnish man named rodrick. As he got into the car, he said hold my drink, and sped away. We are going to keep this driver and he will be in the next race if he recovers from the hip operation which he had just received. Also, congratulations to puffster on getting 5th on this race!

Where do i get the strategy? I need to remove more pit stops. And it will be running on slicks all race.

I will have to do a rain dance to gain some positions.

1 stop strategy all the way here!

Also, @Der_Bayer, Iā€™ve been meaning to ask you this (and it may well have been discussed before), but how much does fuel weight affect the lap times and tire wear of a car? Can there technically be any benefit to doing 2 stops and racing with less fuel per stint than just pitting once and (in the case of my car) having a full tank?

Well practice is run with a full tank of fuel where as qualifying is run on the bare minimum fuel to do 2 laps so if you compare the first laps of each that shows you the effect of fuel weight.

I think this is going to be my race, really want to get back the points lost from the first race.

So unfortunately I had irl stuff going on so I wasnā€™t near my pc to send my strategy haha. Ah, that was just bad.

In game, I will blame it on a faulty weather radar that sent the pit crew into a shambles as they rushed to try and fix it. Which left us on the wrong tyres for most of the race.

What a great ending to the race! Critical Set! HYPE!

With any luck I can reverse my trend of going backwards in the races and make things hard for BobWiley

Yeah, I missed the start of the stream, but caught the last 30 minutes or so. Kept me on the edge of my seat, compliments to your driver for keeping his nerve.

Grats to @mer_at on the win! that was some blistering speed and a strong strategy.

All in all, a podium finish is great stuff. My strategy wasnā€™t as polished as last time since I was very short on time, and went for four planned stops to leave as much leeway as possible for the change to intermediates. Considering the rain started so much earlier than the forecast, I might have ended up with the extra stop either way, though.

Edit: Also, @TheBobWiley, our cars are super neck and neck. Which is excellent fun so long as we donā€™t take each other out of the raceā€¦

Oh, that would be dreadful :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, we already had the bump in the first race, and a couple of stressful chases (both ways) in the second one.

Looks like Bobā€™s car is faster on this one, though. Unless mine can save enough time on pit lane.

Where can i download the strategy so that i can modify it for the race?
