Note on illegal cars
As this was an unofficial pre-season test, no official scrutineering was done for the cars to enter the test. This means that in the field of cars there have been a few illegal cars. The respective teams will be contacted in private messages, giving hints on what currently is illegal.
Procedure & Deadline
You now have 7 days (deadline: Saturday, January 16, 7 a.m. CET) to enter your final race car and update your driver and team registration. You only have one try - send it and you are done. I will not accept iterations - they will be ignored. Make sure your cars are legal. If you didnāt receive a message for your pre-season test car, it was legal.
If you do not provide an update your current car will enter the competition.
The BRC organization (me) highly encourages not updating the car, especially when improved performance or legality is doubtful, as it will save me a lot of time. But of course, every participant may send in one single car revision (or even scrap the old car and send a new one). Updating the team registration without updating the car is possible, too, and is not a lot of effort for me to do.
New entries who have not participated in the pre-season tests will be accepted as well.
Important Note: Fractional Driver Skills Banned
Some of you wanted to use fractional driver skill points to easily make use of all the available points. I have not thought of doing this before - unfortunately this will brake my race day condition system and is therefore forbidden. Please use the new team registration sheet which automatically rounds up your values for the points calculation. This should elimitate the fractional numbers, at it is not beneficial anymore. If I still receive fractional numbers from you or get no update, I will round the driver skills down. So: only positive natural numbers!
After the deadline has passed, I will provide scrutineering results, 107% test results and the Top Trump Cards for the cars. After that, I will integrate the cars in the simulation and generate the official practice results for all 6 tracks. You then have time to work out your 6 individual race strategies and send them.
Again, the Deadline for the final car and team registration is:
Saturday, January 16, 7 a.m. CET
Race Strategies
Race strategies will only be accepted after the official practice results for each track are in. I will do about half race distance practice sessions for each event.
Thatās it for now, have fun tuning your cars
