C.A.C. Limited

thank you :slight_smile:

To add to this, Kack means shit in German as well … so, Cac might not be the ideal name to market cars :laughing:

But other than that, I like what you did there, nice backstory and also nice cars, another company that produces ‘normal’ cars, not just high end sports or muscle cars.

Lol thanks but think of it a Cee-A-Cee and not cack. It should be clarified now with an update to the topic title. Hopefully.

2002 Cassandra

The second car from “Project Minimalist” was the 2002 Cassandra. It was released 2 months after the Matilda and offered more options to potential customers. The Cassandra came in two variants, the X and L trims.

The X trim was powered by a 1.6 NA 4 cylinder engine that churned out 131 hp with decent fuel economy. This variant came with basic equipment and was extremely light weighing in at just over 2400 lbs. It entered the sedan market starting at around $15000 as it was slightly bigger than the Matilda.

The L trim was the top spec model with a 1.8 litre engine that produced a fair 153 hp. This trim came with more premium materials, chrome accents, fog lamps, an accessory boot spoiler and twin chrome exhausts to carry off the premium look. MSRP: started at around $18000.

2003 Cornaldie Automotive Victoria

After release of the Cassandra, the engineers at Cornaldie were preparing to unveil the third car from Project Minimalist, the Victoria. The Victoria would complete the range of affordable family cars as a wagon variant to the Cassandra. The car was built on the same platform, featured the same engine and technology with a slightly better refinement due to technological breakthroughs before time of production in 2003.

Thanks man.

I understand the point of a brand image, but every car looks pretty much the same.

2004 Cornaldie Automotive Vega

The Vega kicked off the 2nd Generation design objectives of Cornaldie. Every aspect of this car was now new, redesigned from the ground up. It was also the first sport coupe from C.A.C. and also the first car to wear the SuperTourer Badge.

The car came in 2 trims, Sport and SuperTourer, both packing a new family of 20 valve, 2000cc inline 4 engines newly developed by the company; one variant being turbocharged and the other being naturally aspirated.

2004 Excel

The Excel X was released in 2004 as an entry level family/ commuter sedan. It featured an all new platform with wishbone suspension at the rear for all models for extra comfort and drivability. It also featured a brand new 8 valve DOHC multipoint injected 1.6 litre 4 cylinder engine, that produced acceptable power and fuel economy while remaining extremely affordable. The Excel X represents another milestone Cornaldie’s vision of affordable,efficient machines with a starting price tag of around $12000.

Hyundai would like a word with you about the name.

But, Cornaldie, something lacks in your proportions

Regardless of its name, there are a few problems with it.

First, an eight-valve twin-cam I4 is clearly old hat by the early Aughts; a sixteen-valve version of the same engine would have been far more efficient if calibrated correctly, which should make the more complex valvetrain well worth the extra expense. I could suggest switching the block and head materials to aluminum/silicon alloys (and even using direct instead of port fuel injection) if you still have money to spare, but these changes are not as much of a necessity.

Second, the engine internals are clearly unable to withstand the loads placed on them with the 7000-rpm rev limiter you have chosen. You could either reduce the redline, preferably with a milder cam profile (so that the rev limiter doesn’t cut off the power early), or use stronger bottom end components if you want to keep the redline where it is.

Finally, a basic interior is not comfortable enough for most family cars, except when budgets are extremely limited. A standard interior and stereo would be preferable for most mass-market cars.

Other than those issues, however, this is a solid affordable family car.

I bet this is something like India’s family car, keep in mind that this company is based in region that usually uses third world cars

Had no idea there was a thing called an Hyundai excel…
@Oskiinus what proportions exactly?

@abg7 there’s also a 16 valve 2.0 version of this model. Stay put :slight_smile:

rear lights are damn small

Yea the styling is somewhat bland on X, the L trim should be more of an eye catcher. Will be released shortly.

Perhaps Lotus Already had a word with Hyundai, which is why it was mostly known as Pony in Europe :stuck_out_tongue:
