I was going to say that… but imagined a lot of other forgot about that project already… with the profits from the island we could run this company
I don’t know about that project, can someone sum up what it’s about and how it works?
Check out this thread:

Point is that we would have an island where we have unlimited speed and long straight highways and some drift circuits… have a casino and some tourism to make our money off. Like a car heaven!
The island with no speed limit could be the Isle of Man. Casino could come from Velden which is near my home, i could have a talk with those guys maybe. Tourism should not be a problem if there’s a beach and some hotels. But the trouble is, how are we gonna make it? I’m not a rich guy at all, and in order to build all that stuff we need quite a lot of money to even start things up
If you read the thread… KillRob will finance it with the sales of Automation… around 2 to 3 million gamesales would be needed to create our own island.
We dont want the Isle of Man, because it has its own government and such. Therefore we need our own island.
If that actually comes true, i wanna spend my life there. Fuck university, fuck my job. I wanna live there, and build my company on that island. The “standard” cars would be shipped to other countries and the high-end cars would partially stay there. Only trouble is, will Killrob also finance the building of my company if there is sufficient money for it? Probably not.
You can probably loan cash haha
Yeah but firstly, it’s next to impossible to even get a loan as a student here in Austria. And then, who’s going to give around 50 million € to a 21-year old philosophy student who wants to build a car company?
I’m all for a Spitfire 1500 with a revised engine. Love the look of it, driving one is awesome, too. But they tend to be unreliable.
TheTom, KillRob would!
As for other cars to be reproduced… I like hot hatches to come back Peugeot 205 GTI, Golf GTI, older Civic hatchbacks etc.
I’m fine with the Golf R or a BMW M135i, i don’t need the old hatches to come back. And if you don’t wanna spend that much money, theres the Fiesta St or even a Fiat Punto Abarth.
But what i would really like to see is the Mercedes t80, a car that was supposed to reach 600km/h in 1939. It had a 42L V12 with over 3000hp and it was more aerodynamic than any car currently on the market. But before they could test it, the Second World War broke out.
Its good they didnt make that thing… with todays technology, they dont even have a car to safely travel those speeds (only 407km/h Veyron)
The car was done, they were just about to test it, when World War 2 started. I think it could have worked because that thing weighed just under 3 tons, and it literally had side wings, for downforce. Plus, it even had a kind of traction control system.
How did the engine itself weigh less than 3 tons?
I don’t know what materials they used for the engine but i don’t even think the Brutus’ 47L V12 weighs that much. 2 tons maybe…
But still, that car couldn’t have been much more than an engine, 4 wheels, and a few pieces of metal acting as the chassis.
The t80 actually had 6 wheels.
It really wasn’t much more than the huge V12, the metal bodywork and the wheels. But god damn, if cars today would look like that, they would not only be more aerodynamic than they are, they would also look fantastic.
It is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the top 5 best looking cars of all time.
I’d rather say best racing prototype, because you can’t beat the Miura.
