Caveron Automotive

Founded in 1942 after the war under the name Caver Automobiles.
This company was created by Andrew Caver a British electrical engineer, With the intention of creating budget family cars as well as smaller city-cars.

The name Caveron Automotive came in 1972 when Caver Automobiles was purchased by the British Automotive Works. This caused significant changes in the direction of the company’s vision where they started focusing more on their sports brand.

In 1973 CMD (Caveron Motorsport Division) was created. They would handle all of Caveron’s performance models while the main body of the company was tasked with the basic and executive models the brand would produce.

This change complete reworked the company dynamic and cause a lot of projects to be scrapped in favor of the creation of the new sport division and the uptake of creation of sports models of their upcoming cars. This was about the time that in secret Caveron decided to take up motorsport as well. Although they stated that motorsport was just a name. It was clear that it was the beginning of the racing arm of Caveron.

In 1979 Andrew Caver passed away aged 68, Caveron Released a limited production model of the outgoing sedan with only 300 made. Inside the glove compartment was enscribed;

001/250 A true send off for the visonary responsible for everything this company is today.
