McDoug Motors goes racing once more.
Fresh off the dealer lot without even a livery… sorry guys maybe I can slap some stickers on latter.
A tuned turbo under the hood could result in some impressive results

Introducing two high-performance race cars developed by Savoia Corse, the racing division of Savoia Automobili, as they make their public debut for the upcoming racing season.
Savoia Corse 510 GTC
First up is the 510 GTC, a powerhouse designed for the GTC class. This mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car is equipped with the G50V10BA – a 4,962 cc V10 naturally aspirated engine that delivers 550 horsepower at 7500 RPM and 532.5 Nm of torque. With a 0 to 100 km/h time of just 2.92 seconds and a top speed of 353 km/h, this machine combines raw speed and agility. Its aluminum monocoque chassis and pushrod suspension system provide optimal handling, and its 42% front and 58% rear weight distribution ensures stability even at high speeds.
Savoia Corse Thunderbolt TCD
In the TCD category, Savoia Corse presents the Thunderbolt TCD. Built as a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive racer, the Thunderbolt TCD features the G23L4BT – a 2,262 cc inline-4 turbocharged engine producing 349.8 horsepower at 6900 RPM and 425.3 Nm of torque. This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.88 seconds, with a top speed of 273 km/h. It’s designed for a balance of power and efficiency, with a fuel economy of 12.5 L/100 km. Featuring an aluminum monocoque chassis and double-wishbone suspension, this car’s 57% front and 43% rear weight distribution maximizes cornering precision.
These two debut models from Savoia Corse embody the pinnacle of Italian engineering, with a focus on speed, control, and innovation. Designed to dominate their respective classes, they mark an exciting chapter in Savoia Automobili’s racing legacy.

The HM61 series Owlsa EX-TCD
Planar’s Owlsa EX-TCD is an odd one, being their V8 Supercars entry modified as little as possible to fit within Cestalis’ TCD regularions.
That results in a car that’s slightly more tame, with a smaller and less powerful engine, as well as added spotlights for extra visibility.
But outside of that, it’s still a very rough-and-ready V8 Supercar at its core. Fibreglass panels, light spaceframe chassis, and rather basic aero are all in this car’s DNA.
Planar’s entering two of these cars for this year’s Cestalis, #77 and #78, and there’s hope they can demonstrate what Aussie race cars are all about.
