Chromeline Motor Company

Chromeline Motor Company (CMC for short) was established in 1945 as a racing team, we started out in a barn in a secret aircraft hangar somewhere in Southern Hampshire, UK. The company produced racing cars for various racing competitions primarily until 1960 when one of the heads of design drew up a two seater sports car a couple of years prior, at this time they were all the rage in England. A medium sized factory complete with a forge works was built in Basingstoke to house the assembly lines which produce both the two seater sports car and the family saloon which is soon to follow.

The first car to enter production in May of the year 1960 was the Ventago (See the next post)

Presenting to you the rather spiffing CMC Ventago of the 1960 model year. This car is everything the 1960’s loved, lightweight 2 seater sports cars that way little to nothing. The car comes in 6 different trims (Veloce, Milano, Milano+, Turin V8, Turin V8+ and V12S). The car is constructed with a steel frame and fibre glass body and the V12S comes finished with a plaque on the dashboard which is signed off by the technician who built the engine and car by hand.

Key= the smaller number is the cost of the car new in 1960 and the number in brackets is what that is in 2016 money.

If you want more info on the cars just ask and I will tell.

If you are interested in tuning/reviewing any of these cars just shoot a PM my way and i’ll be happy to talk.

There is a saloon and estate coming for the 1961 model year but it is still under development, it is going to have Inline 6 and V8 engines and will come in manual (Limited production for USA) and automatic. There will be a thirsty performance sedan for the deep pocketed buyers.

I got nothing big to do in 61-62, I can make an updated European version (less thirsty) if you wish

That would be awesome thank you, I really struggle with fuel economy and performance balance, when I have finished the car i’ll send a copy over to you

For the sake of Jesus in a Koenigsegg distance these wheels more like out because they look ridiculous

Do you know what, you’re right they do look silly, I’ll sort them out when I finish my sedan/wagon

Sorry for that much of critique, but even if it would make driving behavior worse they look so un-aethestic.

Nah don’t worry about it, critisism is always welcome because it helps me improve.

The 1961 model year of my sedan/wagon is ready for release. It’s only a small lineup of cars at the moment but there is more coming for the 1962 model year.
