Wich combination is the best?

  • boxer with a RR combination
  • boxer with a AWD combination
  • boxer with another combination
  • V engine (V6-V8-V10-V12) with a FR combination
  • V engine (V6-V8-V10-V12) with a MR combination
  • V engine (V6-V8-V10-V12) with another combination
  • Wankel with a RR combination
  • Wankel with a FR combination
  • Wankel with another combination
  • Another combination…

I wonder wich combination is the best. I like Wankel engines like used in a Mazda RX7 or a boxer in the Porsches… but maybe there is a better combination possible.

personally i like AWD the best; how the cylinders are sorted in the engine isnt that important to me

I went with Boxer and another configuration…

One of my plans is for front mounted boxer engines, Transaxel gearbox and RWD.

Im not sure its been done before, but I want to do it! :ugeek:

I basically selected the following:

boxer with a AWD combination.
boxer with another combination (RWD for example).
V engine (V6-V8-V10-V12) with a FR combination.
V engine (V6-V8-V10-V12) with a MR combination.
Wankel with a FR combination.

@Drake: I like the idea of a transaxle boxer.
Good thinking, would be a nice alternative to the classic layouts.
