Coming up to a couple of years old now and still going strong:
Gigabyte H67MA-USB3-B3
Intel Core i5 2500K (I know, a K on an H67 - the K was cheaper than the standard 2500 at the time.)
8GB DDR3 1333MHz Kingston ValueRAM
2TB Western Digital Green
Sapphire AMD 6870
Leadtek Nvidia GT 640 (Again, weird setup. I needed the Nvidia card for work.)
LG Blu-Ray Burner
Corsair CX600 PSU
Coolermaster Elite 342 Case
Running Windows 7, Windows 8, Ubuntu 13.04 and OSX Mountain Lion, with 7 being the main use.
Here is my lappy’s setup, it is barely good enough to run Automation at medium settings.
CPU: Intel Core i7 2640QM 2.0-2.9 Ghz (The main cause of crazy overheat)
GPU: Nvidia GT540M 2GB (yes, 2 GB on such a slow gpu )
RAM: Unknown 8 GB DDR3 (overkill)
HDD: Unknown 750 GB
Motherboard: Unknown
Cooling system: 3 brutally clogged up fans, a broken cooling pad and a ventilator (i’m serious)
I bought it in september 2012 for $800, but i want to dump it already, because it idles at 50 degrees and under heavy load it can reach a mad 100 degrees
MB: Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3
CPU: Intel i7 3770k @ 4.8ghz with custom LC(2x 360 rads, 2pumps etc)
RAM: Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 2400Mhz 4x8GB
System HDD: Corsair Force 3 120gb x 4 in raid 0
Storage: 3 x Seagate Green 1½Tb
PSUs: Dual Corsair HX 850 (yes a bit overkill, but one can never have to much power)
GFX cards: 3x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2 1536MB
Case: XSPC H2
OS: Windows 7 HP 64bit.
I hope you don’t mind me asking, if you’ll ever see this post, why did you put GO, TO, and mo/s instead of GB, TB, and mb/s respectively? I noticed that the o’s were only added where b’s were supposed to be.
My system:
AMD A4-5300B APU
AMD Radeon HD 7480D
4GB DDR3
500GB HDD
20GB HDD
Windows 7 Professional
He must be French (like me). The “o” stands for “octet”, the french word for “byte”
So, there’s my system :
Core i5-2500K @ Stock (but I have benched it at 4.8 GHz a few times)
12 GB DDR3 PC 12800 (4x2 + 2x2)
Intel DP67BG
GeForce GTX 780 (@1002 MHz without Boost)
BeQuiet 750 W 80PLus Gold Power Supply
Corsair 600T White case
Some Random DVD burner
Corsair K90 keyboard + Logitech G500 Mouse
Eizo FS 2332 screen + Some 23" from AOC.
----Storage ----
SSD Intel 320 Series 160 GB
Velociraptor 300 GB (10k rpm)
Caviar Black 500 Go (x2)
Seagate 7200.14 2To
I also have a 13 inch laptop with a Core i5-2520M processor, 6 gigs of ram a 128 GB SSD and a radeon 6630M GPU?
System 1: Work/school laptop
Thinkpad e545
AMD a10 5750m apu
8650g integrated
8gb 1600mhz lpddr3 ram
some shitty wd 5400 rpm hdd that i dont remember the model number for, it sucks
System 2: Custom gaming
Intel i3 4370
stock hsf
Sapphire r9 270x @ 1100mhz core 1400mhz memory
asrock h97m pro 4
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1tb 7200 rpm hdd
8gb crucial ballisix 1600 mhz ddr3 ram
Corsair 230t black windowed w/ a crap ton of red led fans
EVGA Supernova 750w B2 psu
Logitech g710+ cherry mx brown
System 3: hp shitbook
Pavlion g6 series(late 2013)
i5 3210m
8gb lpddr3 ram
no hdd(sata port is broken)
hd 7670m graphics
System 4: Toaster
Hp pavlion a1620n
Pentium d 925 @ 3ghz
3gb ddr2
250 seagate hdd
gt 220 graphics
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3,40 GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-K
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270X
8 Gb ram
128 Gb SSD
2 Tb hard disk
Windows 7
Midrange stuff that’s just enough to run most of the games I want at 1080p resolution, I’m using a 22 inch HD TV as my monitor so I have no need for higher resolutions right now. I’ll probably add more memory and a better GPU soon, though. Depends largely on what the system requirements for Fallout 4 will be.
Peripherals:
Microsoft SideWinder Precision Pro joystick
XBox 360 controller
Logitech G27 racing wheel
Logitech G400 mouse
My rig is horribly outdated and I’ve been too lazy/busy/cheap to build a new one for now. That’s not to say it isn’t powerful enough though. I probably will update it in a year or so.
Mobo: AM3 socket motherboard
CPU: Athlon II X2 255 @ 3.1 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR3-1600
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500 GB
GPU: Radeon HD 7750 @ 800 MHz (currently dead, was enough to run Automation on medium to high settings)
Integrated GPU: Radeon HD 3200 @ ~500 MHz (Basically a 3300 with DDR2, pretty shitty, can run Automation on low settings)
PSU: 450W unknown model
So, I’ve been off from work the past week and decided it was time to replace the old Athlon desktop with something more modern. Besides, I really needed to stop using my laptop for everything. Here’s what I got.
TC-102 Mid-Tower ATX case
Gigabyte Z-97X-SLI LGA 1150 ATX Motherboard
Intel i7 4790 LGA1150 CPU (3.6GHz, quad-core)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO heatsink
Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR3-1600 (8GBx2)
MSI GeForce GTX960 OC 2GB
Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA III hard disk
Asus 24x DVD-RW SATA III
Cooler Master G750M 750W power supply
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (I know 10 will be out soon)
So, after working with this case, I’m a little undecided about what I think. I had an ATX full-tower case before, with lots of room inside to manage cables and work on hard disks. While this one is much smaller and lighter, it is also MUCH more cramped inside. Just got it up and running, and still working on some of the updates.
