Wow, this thread went from 0-100 real quick.
Anyway:
The 1992 Lincoln Marque-X Concept previewed styling of both the 1st gen and 2nd gen Lincoln Mark VIIIs. However, many of the features on the concept (19-inch wheels, navigation system etc.) didn’t make it into production when I wish it had.
The only “factory” supercharged Lincoln Mark VIII to be built. It was a driveline mule/prototype for a supercharged Modular V8 (can’t believe it took them 10 years to finally put it into production LOL). Had they made a production version - even if it was de-tuned from the 450hp as you see here - I’d still be driving one. That kind of power, styling, and sophistication is just too good to pass up (reliability be damned).

The Chrysler 300 HEMI C Convertible Concept - strikingly good looks, V8 muscle. I’d rather have this over a Mercedes-Benz SL500 (R230) or Cadillac XLR. Imagine if it was in production today? With a 707-horsepower, supercharged Hellcat engine (2x what the concept is making in it’s pre-production 5.7-liter HEMI).
Of course, I can’t leave out General Motors - the undisputed Queen of Cocktease Concepts.™ My personal favorite (of the modern era - classic concepts would take up an entire forum), is the Cadillac Elmiraj. Powered by a 500-horsepower, twin-turbo V8 that will eventually make its way into the Cadillac CT6, as a styling exercise GM really hit it out of the park with this one. I like big coupes… can’t help it.
