That chrome trim is dope!
Are we still able to nominate a couple more cars to the walls now or are they set?
I think the nominations are closed, but there’s lots to choose from on the cool wall.
Nominations will re-open once the alternate board goes up. I had hoped to do it today but stuff got in the way.
For Sale: 1978 Moravia Jestrab 1600 Automatic
Hello, I’m selling my lovely Moravia Jestrab wagon named Toby. For those who aren’t aware of these, it was a family car built in Czechoslovakia 40 years ago. This particular one is a Canadian export originally purchased by my grandparents when they lived in Vancouver. They gave it to me about 12 years ago.
It is the high spec model, with the fuel injected 1.6 liter boxer 4 and three speed automatic. The odometer reads 142,084 kilometers (88,287 miles). Runs fine on regular 91 gas and averages about 24 mpg. Has 155/75R13 tires that are only a year old. The paint’s a little faded but there isn’t much for rust. I’ve put a few stickers on it. The interior is a little tired and could use a cleaning but otherwise fine. Only has an AM radio. Has front wheel drive so it’s good in snow, as you can see from this photo.
I’m a little sad to see Toby go, I’ve had some good times with it. But it’s time to part ways and would like to see it go to a good home. I’m asking $2,627 for it.

From the Mons Amis Wikipedia site:
The Mons Amis was introduced as a competitor for the PT Cruiser by the Canadian auto maker. It went after the short-lived retro trend in the car market. However, it took things a little too far… and as such, it became a commercial flop and production stopped after only two years. Mons CEO C.A. said during an interview in 2012 - “We are still trying to forget this one….”
The two last cars are very well designed, nice!
Those cup holders are a nice touch.
They came out on the workshop like a week ago. I added my own 3D brackets though. They are meant to be those “push to hide” kind that disappear flush into the dash when not in use.
Yeah, I saw them but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Those push brackets are a stroke of genius.
FOR SALE: 1954 ROSSEL F12 *RARE* - $3846
I am selling this vehicle on my Families behalf. This car has been in my family for over 60 years, been through every check and repair it as ever needed. There’s a few scuffs and scrapes on the interior, but the exterior is mostly fine. It’s got some weird stuff, like Suicide doors, the original 1954 radio, and an awkwardly sized engine bay for the engine. My granddad drove it every day until he passed about 10 years ago, and it’s been in my mother’s hands since. Unfortunately we don’t have the space to look after this car anymore, so we’ve decided to put it up for sale in the hopes it will go to someone who cares.
Features
- Longtudinal Front Wheel Drive Layout
- 1.2 Liter Flat Four engine
- 3 speed Manual Transmission
- Four Seats
- Suicide Doors
- 125mm square tyres, on a 13in rim
- Tops out at 85mph
- 20.4 Miles per US Gallon.
- Original import papers.
Lore time!
Rossel was a car company founded in 1950 in the cities of Großrosseln and Petite-Rosselle as part of the American Marshall plan, and an attempt at further unification of German and French industries. Their first model appeared in 1951 as the Rossel F8 microcar, a small 2 cylinder 0.8L commuter made to fufil the needs of the workers in the Franco-German border regions. Their second model was the F10 in 1953, a short-lived 2 door coupe which was swiftly replaced with the superior F12 in 1954.
The F12 featured a 42kw 1.2L Flat (Boxer) 4 engine mounted in a Long FWD layout. It featured a simple 3 speed manual gear box, with four full sized seats and a very simple and basic radio. It’s small size and relatively efficient driving made it a hit among younger buyers, and became a highly successful vehicle within France, Germany, the Benelux, and Italy. In total, over it’s 6 year run, before Roseel folded in 1960, over 5,000 F12s were made, all sold within mainland western Europe.
There was a fourth Rossel model which began production in 1958, the F12 RWD, a Rear Wheel Drive version, however less than 100 would be made before Rossel closed their doors in March 1960, after dwindling sales through 1958 and 1959.
That colour scheme = chef’s kiss.

Freeway Star AWD, has the larger 2.4 litre engine option and a 5 speed column shifted manual. GLX package, which means that it has stereo, electric windows, tinted glass, power steering and manual A/C. “Lounge interior” package, with 6 individual velour clad seats (2 of them facing backwards) and curtains for privacy. Also has the rare “Crystal roof” option with a sliding sunroof up front and dual flip up panorama roof in the rear. 95 000 miles, shows some slight wear, but pristine mechanical condition and no rust at all, very well taken care of. Factory “Caramel Tan” paintjob, slightly faded but can be polished up without any struggle. A/T tyres in fair condition with factory option blackspoke rims. The Wells Jude had the same color scheme in that Malaise challenge…very pretty color combo, but there are more. White goes with everything.

At least it’s a convertible, I guess?
The product of a Pluriel making eyes at a Daewoo of some kind? Quirky as hell!
