Nice looking set of cars, but uhm… doesn’t the Group B car need to weigh at least 1100kg?
Oh right, yeah. I guess I didn’t check the weight of the finished model before I sent it to Der Bayer, I’ll let him know… oops
I like that didara de most… its a clean nice and simple design…
Thanks, but now that I look back on it, I don’t like the circles I did on the grill. But other than that, it’s still one of my favourite designs
After a brief period of silence from Cottam Auto Group in recent months, it’s finally time to release a new model!
It’s called the Vector XX. A luxurious sports sedan designed to provide more British choice among Jaguar and Bentley fans.
With contemporary, professional styling, you can look good anywhere you go. Be that a posh dinner party, or blasting round the 'Ring. There is nowhere in the world where this car would look out of place.
The raging beast under the hood is a 4.1L Naturally Aspriated V8 which produces an impressive 509hp. The Vector’s clever AWD system will thrust the car to 60mph in just 4.1 seconds, and on to a top speed limited to 180mph. If the limiter is removed the car will push past 200mph!
The Vector also boasts a lush leather interior, essential to any luxury car, with every car-friendly gadget under the sun to make your life easier on any journey.
Don’t think this car will spontaneously combust if you hit a tree, either. The car has many safety features including 8 airbags including the back seats, and also a clever Isofix seatbelt system for the back seats as well.
Also, because this car is a sedan, it has a big boot for your posh dog, or your golf bats, if you like that sort of thing.
So, a great car then, regardless of the situation. This car will never let you down, or embarrass you. Anywhere you go.
Cottam Auto Group has had some recognition following the success of the new Vector. CAG had provided a Cottam Vector to the Isle of Man Police Department fir some tests too see if it had the credentials to become part of its newest fleet of high speed interceptors.
Following vigorous testing, the IOMPD decided it was a great fit, and so CAG sent the model to German company Ryota’s emergency vehicles branch, REV.
The Vector has been given a complete facelift by Ryota Emergency Vehicles, and it is now fit for the force; with a new, less powerful, but more torquey 410hp engine that also features in the new Ryota Interceptor. The Vectorhas also been fitted with REV’s innovative lighting system dubbed RELCS - Ryota Emergency Light Control System.
It also features REV’s Vector bullbars. (They match the name! )
Move over, Vauxhall Astra - The UK has a new police car ready to chase down those bicycle hooligans! American police car shows are about to get a lot better with this thing patrolling the roads!
The Vector is very nice! The name made me remember the Vector W8:
Yeah, my Vector may not look like that one, but it has a chance of outrunning it .
I used to drive that Vector in granturismo for several races.
It seems Cottam Auto Group has been rewarded with its efforts on the new Vector. The Cottam Vector has been given a 5-star rating, and a ‘Best Buy’ award from Spain-based British reviewer Cheeseman. His words say everything we could have put into a marketing campaign, but evidently, the car has spoken for itself, and Cheeseman has spoken for the public.
This is a grand moment for all of CAG, and long may the Vector continue its reign of luxury-sport supremacy!
Go and read the Vector’s sparkling review here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4044&start=40#p35698
A big thank you to Cheeseman for his kind words! There really isn’t much else to say about the car. If it’s as good as Cheeseman says it is, then surely that will be enough persuasion to give the Vector a try.
Outrunning the W8 would be hard… It has more than 600 HP!
Shhh, just agree for the sake of marketing!
After a long winded battle with some factory issues, CAG is back with a new model!
It’s called the Relay. An N-Class cheap runaround hatchback, perfect for anyone with a family to move. It is extremely easy to drive, and is one of the safest cars on the road today.
It has sensible styling which tailors to all tastes, and features more than adequate cooling for the nippy and economical 132hp 1.8L i4 that powers it.
This i4 engine features a VVL setup, so that more power can be squeezed from the engine while still remaining relatively economical. It took a lot of tinkering around to achieve a good balance between power, economy, and reliability. The engine uses high quality bottom end parts to increase reliability with the high redline.
So if you’re in the market for a cheap family mule, look no further than the Cottam Relay. Extremely advanced safety measures have been taken to ensure you and your family’s safety during any mishaps that may occur, it is highly fuel efficient, and it can be fun to drive if you push its limits.
The Relay comes in 2 trim levels. The trim level displayed above is the standard trim. The other available trim level as the Chrome Package, which features a slightly reworked front end, and chrome accents as displayed below. The chrome package also features sat-nav as standard (available with standard trim as optional extra).
Prices:
Relay with standard trim - £14,995
Relay with chrome package - £17,995
Feel free to voice your opinion!

1000 rpm over max power might be a little much, 300-600 rpm is more common. The MTBF will increase nicely, and service cost might drop.
Try and see what it does.
Thanks for the advice Rob, I gave it a try and it indeed did have a positive impact on MTBF. Though I wanted to have as much of a usable power band as possible which is why I had such a high rev limit.
To be honest, the Relay without the chrome looks better than with it.
Cottam Relay Design Contest!
Yes, you read it right, I am doing a contest to redesign the look of the new Relay!
The objective is simple: You must download one of the platforms attached to this post (either the standard or chrome trim), and redesign the look as much as you want. Though it would be preferred if you could still make it recognizable as a Cottam Relay. When you have finished changing the platform, just zip it up and send it to me via PM. I will be taking entries until Saturday 21st June, so you have just about a week to get your entry sent in.
But I wont be choosing the winner…
What I’m going to do is compile all the entries into a YouTube video in which I will showcase each design (That is if it’s okay with you guys, of course). The winner will then be decided through voting. People may comment on the video naming the person’s design they like the best. Voting can also be cast by posting in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=4282 (NOTE: Participants cannot vote for their own design)
If anyone objects to the YouTube video idea, or does not want their forum username being mentioned online (for some reason), then I will decide on the winner myself without any voting system.
I am staying up to watch all the World Cup games tonight so I am pretty tired, so some parts of this post may be a bit confusing.
So if I have made anything sound confusing, or if you have a suggestion for the voting system/YouTube etc… then feel free to PM me.
Here is the YouTube video where you can cast a second vote as well as a vote in the contest thread. bit.ly/CottamRelay
Good luck!

Youtube is a good idea but i think you can make a poll here on the forum as well and just upload previews of each design. However, you’d have to create a new topic to do this, as far as i know.
That poll thing sounds like a plan. It will have to be in a new topic though, but at least that will avoid cluttering up this thread.
A new topic will be up shortly.
I think it would make more sense if you would open the poll when you have all the entries.
Edit: Never mind
