Hello there,
I have been playing Automation for a while now; and I am working on developing a mid range sports car with an emphasis on performance and affordability. The car is intended to compete with popular models like the Toyota 86 or Mazda MX-5 in the under $35,000 market. My focus is on achieving a balance between power; fuel efficiency; and driveability.
I have designed a 2.0L inline 4 turbocharged engine; but I am struggling with tuning it to hit the sweet spot in terms of torque and responsiveness. Right now; the engine produces decent horsepower 250hp; but I feel like it lacks low end torque and is a bit sluggish in the mid RPM range; which affects the overall driving experience.
Also, I have gone through this post; https://discourse.automationgame.com/t/my-video-guide-series-on-how-to-tune-and-optimize-an-engine-mlops/ which definitely helped me out a lot.
I am trying to tweak the turbo and cam profile to improve low-end power without sacrificing too much top-end performance, but I have not found the right balance yet. Also; I am not sure whether the intercooler or exhaust setup could be optimized further.
Thanks in advance for your help and assistance.
