I’ve played this for quite awhile, built lots of engines and a few cars. But I moved to a new house and hadn’t played for a few months as we got settled in, now all of a sudden I can’t get this game to open. Now it pops up a crash screen on the loading screen. I got it through Steam and it does this weather i launch it from desktop icon or through steam. Can someone tell me whats going on and how to fix it please?

Thanks for contacting us. Can you DM me your AutomationGame.log file? You can find it at %localappdata%\AutomationGame\Saved\Logs.
You will have to reach the next trust level on the forums to be able to access DMs; to do this you must:
- Open up at least 5 topics
- Read at least 30 posts, and
- Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts.
Also, I would like you to do two things to start your troubleshooting process. First one is to verify your Automation install through Steam. To do this, right-click on Automation in your Steam library and go to Properties. Go to Installed Files, and press the “Verify Integrity of Game Files” button, and let that process run to completion.
Second, I would like you to clear your game cache. Once your verification is done, the next time you launch Automation go into the Troubleshooting Tool rather than launching the game. When that opens up, press the “Clear Cache” button, and then try launching Automation.
Before you clear your cache, understand that doing so will delete all of your custom keybinds/settings, Photo Mode presets and globally-saved paints.
