i assume your ad looks really good and i love the car but discord changed their policy so now discord images no longer stay embedded in other sites for more than a day - highly recommend switching those to discourse or another host site. funnily enough ive had good luck hosting stuff through reddit, so that would be my go-to.

Discourse is a perfectly fine image host, you can upload them directly to the forums for use in the forums.

No sense complicating things.

ehh discourse is a fine image host as far as it can host images and you dont have to pay for it but it has a tendency to flatten large transparent images (over 1mb as far as i can tell) to have white backgrounds and just generally compresses images to shit

Just a update,

Reviews have started and are underway, will probably release round 1 & finals this weekend at latest when work isnt a factor - but shouldnt be too long.

Homada Beep - @westono

OVERALL DESIGN

The design of the Beep is sharp and modern, fun & well built. It has a more “lifestyle activity” vibe (especially with the bright apple green paint) than a “rough and tough offroader” vibe but it still looks good, with good depth & blocky, yet not too blocky design. It has good proportions and doesn’t look too narrow & upright - while plastics do a good job of breaking up body colors. Front & rear-ends both look really good as well with well designed modern & up-to-date head & taillights help bring this into the 2024/2025 model year.

DETAILS

The Beep is super well made, great use of 2D & 3D fixtures to get the surfacing just right, panel gaps & integration of the Homada logo into the name is a really good touch.
The attention to detail is present and noticeable from all 360 degrees here, well done. We wish there could be some off-road accessories included, but we know this was a bit rushed so it’s understandable and the design isn’t worse without them.

BRAND IDENTITY

The Beep does definitely fit into the lineup really well, though not being super offroad focused might be a very slight setback, but other than that the lights, grill & overall sharp lines are a good fit for us.

Homada Namib - @the-chowi

OVERALL DESIGN

The Namib is a big and brawny SUV built for roads that don’t exist yet, it looks good & does a nice job of accentuating the front & rear fenders. Big tires & great ground clearance add to the presence and really adds to the off-road perspective together with the plastics, rock sliders & roof racks.
The VERY familiar front & rear fascias fit nicely onto the body, with nice red tow hooks to add some dashes of color. However, the side falls a bit short, feeling kinda dated. The hood design may also be slightly aggressive for this design, but it’s not bad and would work well on a performance trim.

DETAILS

The Namib is pretty well detailed, badging, lighting & tow hooks/winch are nice touches.
Surfacing is good as well & all the panel gaps are present - overall really good.

BRAND IDENTITY

Now, obviously this fits well into the lineup as it essentially looks exactly like the Atacama pickup - which is not bad of course, but it doesn’t stand out compared to the other entries because of that.

Homada Quest XT6 - @svetvnoske

OVERALL DESIGN

The Quest is quite a looker with its nice wide stance & square-but-not-so-square looks, with a nice blacked out front bumper on this trim level adding to the tough look - shame it didn’t carry over to the rear though. Sides are somewhat flat but it fits with the overall design with its sleek wraparound rear windows+sunroof design and rear shoulder hump. The well integrated snorkel is a really nice touch along with the hidden rear lights - although the latter makes the rear feel a bit naked when the lights are off.
Overall there could be a bit more depth to the body, but it still looks really good.

DETAILS

A bunch of really nice touches like the integrated winch and tow hooks, look really nice - even the smart integration of the Homada logo into the grill pattern.
Can’t really say much besides that this thing is super super well-detailed, nothing was missed when making this one - even a full interior makes this look almost life-like.

BRAND IDENTITY

The XT6 looks good, slightly lacking some overall sharpness in the design but can definitely be identified as a Homada when you start to look into the details.

Homada Activia - @SpeedyBoi

OVERALL DESIGN

The Activia is a fun, futuristic van with almost concept-like looks. Short nose & high roofline is definitely a rare sight for this round but it works well here. However the small wheels do look a bit awkward, but besides that it still has decent ground clearance.
The grille & headlights look good & they integrate nicely into the hood, but the front fascia has a bit of a weird forward slant when viewed from the side, and speaking of the side - there is a very sharp front corner piece that looks quite out of place and clashes with the diagonal line of the arches. Combined with the semi-truck mirrors, these are some interesting choices that detract a bit from the design. However the fun colors, off-road accessories & nice lighting do help a lot.

DETAILS

Details are plentiful and it isn’t missing much, small things like the tow hooks & aux lights are nice touches which add to the overall look & off-road feel.

BRAND IDENTITY

With Homada not having a van at the moment it is hard to tell shape wise, but styling wise this definitely fits into the lineup - nice DRL & rear light setup and a big Homada badge up front really help as well.

Homada Rossi - @Riley

OVERALL DESIGN

The Rossi (which is a slightly unfitting name for an offroader) is an interesting one. The very boxy & upright proportions with tons of ground clearance makes it look quite outdated - this body wasn’t a great choice. Although the bodyline across the side is very strong, the rest is pretty flat. The rims are also not the best option, being very modern & sleek which clashes with the dated looks of the rest. That being said, the actual design is not bad, front & rear fascias are good, especially the rear light bar - mostly being let down by the body choice.

DETAILS

Somewhat decently detailed build, with the body doing most of the linework, etc. with the front bumper with the tow hooks adding a good contrast to the overall design. The rear is dominated with a really nice looking light bar but a very interesting choice of exhaust placement.

BRAND IDENTITY

The front & rear fascia has very strong brand design language & 100% fits into the lineup - however the body itself dates this quite a bit, which hurts the Rossi’s chances a bit.

Homada Tazawa TR - @OT_motive

OVERALL DESIGN

The Tazawa certainly has a lot of presence, not in a mean off-roader way though - its quite tall and upright giving it large 7 seater SUV looks instead of fun off-roader. However looking past that the Tazawa is a looker with its simple & sleek design, a two-tone paint job fits nicely and help removing some visual mass. The fenders are nice & wide and are accentuated with some molding to help them stand out - simple indents really help add depth all over the build. Front & rear fascias are clean & offer a good contrast color on both ends - overall a pretty non-offensive build.

DETAILS

Some details are lacking (i.e. panels gaps, model badging & wipers, etc.) and some small edges can be cleaned up but still relatively nicely detailed, but that all went into bodywork itself. Fun badging is also a cool touch - did this just fall out of a coconut tree?

BRAND IDENTITY

The front fascia is the main brand identifier here, with its typical Homada grill & DRL combo, the sides are also very Homada with the fender & door lines - the least brand specific part of this build is definitely the rear which could be seen as generic, but not bad because of that.

Homada Kalahari - @Oreology

OVERALL DESIGN

The Kalahari is a very simple, yet very nicely executed build, with nice big plastic fenders, big wheels and lots of clearance which gives it a great off-road presence. The front fascia is very simple & square, but with some nice DRL’s, skidplate & integrated winch it looks good - although the vertical slats are a bit too Jeep. The vents on the hood seem a bit out of place, maybe a single one in the middle could work better? The sides are very much dominated by the big fenders followed by the largely flat body surface, but the shoulder on the door is a nice touch - this also has very good approach angles which is a plus.
The rear, again, is very simple, with it being mostly dominated by a spare wheel & fuel can, but the rear lights are nice & you get that pop of color from the tow hooks.

DETAILS

This is a very nice build, a lot of 3D work that turned out good and is well detailed overall.
The off-road accessories also help a lot with the design, and keep it from looking too much like an average grocery getter.

BRAND IDENTITY

The angular look is what we want, the simple square-ish design of the lights and grill also fit in nicely - however the rear is mostly hidden behind extras so that part is a bit unknown.

Homada Shiro - @Mikonp7

OVERALL DESIGN

The Shiro is another decent build, not just your average jimny. The blacked out front end looks good and is well made - has nice levels of depth too, and the dash of color with the tow hooks are a nice touch as well. The hood is also nicely done and is a good departure from the original. The sides are a bit more straightforward, but not bad - nice big fenders & side step, however the shoulder line stopping before the front fender is a bit odd - and the small wheels don’t really help with the off-road aspect. The rear end is decent, with a nice light bar that wraps around the body surrounded by a blacked out section - however, the rear bumper seems quite a bit thick on the sides and doesn’t quite match the centerpiece of it, but tow hooks & dash of the silver plate are nice touches.

DETAILS

It’s well built, and nicely detailed - a lot of work went into the front end which isn’t bad, but some small things could be better, i.e. the big indicators on the front fenders.

BRAND IDENTITY

We can definitely see a Homada from the front & rear, the front being a quite strong player - however the side is a bit too plain, some molding to emphasize the fenders would help a lot.

Homada Karamatsu - @Knugcab

OVERALL DESIGN

The Karamatsu is quite flat & basic, and with the color scheme it looks quite clinical as well. The front is dominated by a massive bumper which adds a lot of visual weight, but doesn’t look too bad itself - however the upper fascia is a bit lackluster, a bit too much body color & doesn’t really blend well overall with the nice split-light design. The sides need a bit more attention, something like molding for the fenders would help a lot, but the vent is a nice touch - the rims also don’t really fit well, very EV-like and they also don’t have much travel into the fenders. The rear end is again, dominated by a massive thick, flat bumper, but the hatch is nicely molded (although not much else is) and could have done away on the rear lightbar.

DETAILS

Although no detail is missing from this one, the clean & clinical look almost takes away from that, nothing is out of place either.

BRAND IDENTITY

This could somewhat fit into the lineup, although maybe not for 2024, it feels a bit dated and oversimplified almost - even for the relatively simple Homada lineup.

Homada Karakum - @happyfireballman

OVERALL DESIGN

The Karakum is certainly an interesting one, a big slab if you will. Starting up front with the bumper. It’s a bit too minimal & that molding piece is not doing it any justice - the lights look very uncanny with its thick & flat looking DRL’s (?) but the checkered grill could work if the surroundings were up to par. The bonnet bulge & side exit exhausts imply that this one will have some power, and has nice big tires and decent ground clearance; fender clearance might be an issue though. The sides are an interesting place to be, a fender vent with odd angles and grilles in the doors?? But also with a fuel can, ladder & snorkel, this is definitely made to go offroad - but again, no real molding and mirrors that definitely do not fit does not help its case. The rear end is rather a similar story to the Karamatsu, massive featureless bumper & vertical lights which lack a bit of creativity, but with the addition of an exposed spare wheel, which adds to its rugged look.

Details are quite touchy with this one, meaning… There are details, however not necessarily ones that fit well on the overall design - we’ll leave that there.

Hard to say on that one to be honest, it looks very very dated and nothing really to identify as Homada maybe because it’s a cheap rebadge

Homada Niyodo - @fabiremi999

OVERALL DESIGN

The Niyodo looks to be a promising entry, the push bar up front is quite a bit big but behind it sits a nice sleek bumper with aux lights which is always useful, the strip of black cladding does look a little out of place though. The grill could be better, we don’t think the vertical bars do it much justice, BUT the DRL’s are so smart, it’s the Homada logo! Never even thought of doing that, well done. The sides are a bit less promising, once again, super flat but has slightly bigger fenders, we feel the door handles sit a bit too low as well - the wheels are definitely a bit too small for the size of this thing, but rim choice is solid. The rear is nice, big covered spare wheel, mudflaps, and again, Homada shaped taillights - very cool addition, however the hinges would benefit from using painted bolts.

DETAILS

A pretty nicely detailed build, though somewhat simple, things like the DRL’s & rear lights are really cool additions.

BRAND IDENTITY

While being somewhat lost body molding wise, the Homada shape lights & big badging does help this a lot.

Homada Kiso - @Er_Foxone

OVERALL DESIGN

The Kiso is yet another Jimny body entry, so lets dive in. Up front we once again have a massive bumper, this time with a rather bolted on winch which i think looks a bit lackluster along with the random anchor points, the grills in the bumper also do not really fit too well, but he looks happy - The grill/headlights are decent, very simple & retro-ish, but maybe a bit more detail will be nice within the lights with all that free space - and the vent on the front of the bonnet is a nice touch, the vents in the bonnet however, are a bit overkill. The sides are, once again, very very similar to a few other entries, very flat and featureless, only this time with rock sliders that are a bit too big - The wheels are also very small on this one, but it does have quite a bit of ground clearance so a bigger wheel will help tremendously. The rear is also quite flat mostly because of a massive bumper, but it does have a spare wheel, it just sits way too low, same story with the underbody protection, its so low that it makes the car look so much taller - the rear lights are decent though, with a cool shape and integrated light bar, it works well.
Final thought would be the weird color scheme, very dark and dreary, which does not fit the fun offroader vibe we feel.

Homada Hidaka 24 T - @Ch_Flash

OVERALL DESIGN

Getting into the Hikada, the front bumper is pretty decent but the bottom vent feels pretty out of place but not too bad - The grill/headlights do seem a bit thick around the edges, but the shape is there, might not necessarily fit on the square body but it works - also the DRLs could’ve used a bit more effort to have them match the shape of the lights
Not… completely sure what’s on the front of the bonnet? Down the side we have a similar story to a few other builds but there is a nice bodyline running along the full width which is nice to see, but thats it basically, the color combo is a bit weird and so is the text on the side - but it does have very good ground clearance,decent sized wheels and rock sliders that are a good size, nice - and just as a note, that fuel cap doesn’t fit for MY2024/25 lol. The rear is pretty decent, lights are fine, even has the anti tailgating aux lights (based) and the bumper is pretty decent too, however i think there might be a bit too much black accents and barely any body color coming through - also a nice touch to have the split open tailgate, very useful, although the handles are quite outdated - Overall its okay, looks like it can crawl up quite steep obstacles with the approach angles but i think the colors and some small bits here and there do hurt it a bit.

A relatively well detailed build, but like some others it just lacks attention on the side, which is a shame.

Homada Bromo 4x4 - @azkaalfafa

OVERALL DESIGN

The Bromo is quite a quirky entry, with its almost 00’s retro look, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. So starting in front, quite interesting one, split headlights & big grill dominate the front end, but not in a bad way. The tow hooks and integrated winch are nice touches and a dash of accent color. The small slits in the bonnet are also a nice touch.

Going on to the side, it’s pretty cool - typical plastic cladding & integrated snorkel are nice and also has some quirky bodylines running across, the shoulder hump in the windows is baller, we love those - and with the fuel canister add-on it works well.
The vent behind the front wheel is also a nice touch which flows nicely into the skirt where we also find a nicely tucked in rock slider.
My only complaints would be the rims, they don’t really fit i think, and also the low-ish ground clearance. The rear is an interesting one, very retro futuristic almost with the wrap-around lights and lower light section with a very good ratio of plastics & body color. The spare wheel does dominate a bit but it doesn’t hide any detail which is good, the layered bumper is also quite nice and again with the tow hooks, it gives a nice dash of color - rear end is quite cool.

Overall it’s a pretty cool build, quite funky & quirky but cool nonetheless.

A very well detailed build, everything is there and it all works together well, no complaints from us.

BRAND IDENTITY

The nose gives off strong Atacama vibes with the big grill & split headlights, nice bodylines & a nice rear light section - all those being very positive aspects.

Homada Trek - @vero94773

OVERALL DESIGN

The Trek is off to a good start, with a nice bumper with a good approach angle and some nice certified off-road tow hooks - however the exposed winch does mess with it a little. Headlights & grill are very nice, love the details & work that has gone into these, though it can be a bit too square from certain angles. The sides are pretty nice too, nice bodylines accentuating the fenders and some molding for good measure - helpful integrated footstep in the rear bumper is a nice touch that leads you to a very nice shoulder hump for the windows and then up to an overlanding style roof rack - a small complaint would be the massive bonnet bulge that you can clearly notice from the side. The wheels are overall a bit small for how tough this looks, and combined with the very knobbly tires - I don’t think there is much room for the wheels to travel into the fenders, but ground clearance is decent. The rear is pretty simple, with similar style tail lights to match the front, clean bumper and a big spare wheel to finish it off - one complaint being that the underbody protection sits very low and makes the car look a bit fat from the rear.

Yet another well detailed build with nothing out of place or looked over - overall, happy with the outcome.

This one can definitely pass off as a Homada, nice big grill, square lights & very nice molding on the side which fits nicely into the lineup.

Homada CROSSRUNNER - @PhirmEggplant

OVERALL DESIGN

Right, the Crossrunner is a bit of an oddball one not gonna lie, despite being a big blob, it almost has a sports car front end with no top grill and oval-ish lights - Also quite a lot going on, 90s rally style spotlights? Prototype race car tow hooks, exposed winch and a push bar that doesn’t protect the bottom part of the bumper. The bonnet also has a very aggressive design with a bulge & venting like a GT3 racer. The side isn’t that bad, but it has odd proportions, but massive wheels and good ground clearance - However, fuel cap from the 60s, door handles from the 80s & mirrors from the 2020s lol, odd mix - not to mention the rock sliders that stick out way too far. The rear is a bit overly busy, the lights for one are way too much. The central exit exhaust is a bit out of place for what this is - And again the prototype tow hooks are a bit of a weird choice.

DETAILS

Another one with detail, but not really the good type of detail - it’s all over the place and does not mesh well at all.

BRAND IDENTITY

This is one we can definitely say does not fit into the Homada lineup, unfortunately. Overall we can see what this is going for, but not really the blocky body we wanted. It may have potential otherwise - just needs a lot of cleanup work.
And we will ignore the misspelled branding for now lol.

I guess that’s what you get when you screw the given inspiration and company lineup and instead create a homada g class :sweat_smile:

The Crossrunner was a reach on styling, we wanted to capture the vintage look, but utilize modern niceties of 2020. The proto winch covers were chosen to give it a smother look for when you’re not in the bush. I feel our failure is do entirely on our vision simply not matching Homadas vision.

FINAL THOUGHTS

A solid entry, very nice front and rear fascia’s - on par with some of the other finalists, but with the big rear bumper, lack of some nice smooth molding on the side and small wheels are ultimately its biggest downfalls and just falls short from 4th place.

Really good looking overall with nice molding & details, but maybe overly sharp in some areas and a rear end that feels a bit too visually heavy due to the skid plate - combined with the minimal inner fender clearance that don’t leave much room for the wheels to move are the biggest reasons why this one is 4th.

The Kalahari basically fixes what was wrong with the Trek, very good ground & fender clearance - sharp lines, but nicely rounded off on the edges, yes it does lack some nice molding on the side but the massive fenders make up for that and visually it feels light, agile and importantly, fun. It was super super close to getting 2nd place.

The Quest is a very very handsome & detailed build, and the techniques to build it were nice & cleanly finished off. Everything about the design fits nicely in place and makes sense. Some things holding it back from going further was the fairly big amount of the side left untouched, although very clean & sleek, could maybe do with some indents around the fenders to accentuate them more - and the rear lights being in the rear window section slightly adding to visual height leaves this one in 2nd place.

The BEEP, really nice representation of what the next Homada model could be, nicely detailed & manages to be sharp & curvy at the same time - pretty front & rear fascia’s with nice bodylines down the side are what make this lil brat a winner, while not being perfect, lacking on off-road accessories and some knobbly tires, but the typical boxy & upright off-roader look & good ground clearance make up for that. And this is why the Beep is our winner.
