Presented as near-production concepts in the two quintessential European bodystyles – the hatchback and the compact MPV – this new design proposal for the future of the Citrus brand brings five core tenets:
Friendliness and approachability
Colourfulness
Smart packaging and use of space
Scalability
Readiness for electrification
As for the Citrus identity, the assymetrical three strake grill is brought back as part of the front DRLs, as well as in the dashboard trim, and the side door protection is tied in to the C-shaped motif which is also present in lighting signatures and interior trim pieces.
This prototype uses a variety of design elements used throughout the years and combines them with a more than modern styling. The version shown is the GLS Trim, featuring a sporty approach to your everyday car. It’s equipped with a 310PS strong 2L Flat-6 and paired with a 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission. This car is by no means slow, with a 0-100km/h time of just 5.4s. It’s for everyone who wants to get from A to B with some thrill, without compromising on practicality.
The Citrus N.EV.U (Nouvelle Ère de Vie Urbaine: New Era of Urban Life) is designed to preview the future of Citrus, while also retaining their quirky personalities from the past, and demonstrate how cars can be integrated into everyone’s everyday life. The idea behind the N.EV.U is to create a small run-around car that anyone can tailor to fit their desire. As you can see, there are 5 versions: Commercial, Mode de Vie (Lifestyle), montAgne (Mountain), Classique (Classic) and GLS.

Also, the N.EV.U platform can support any powertrain available. Whether HEV, PHEV, REEV or BEV, you name it. Everyone can choose one of any powertrain for their custom individual N.EV.U. With the length of just under 3.9 meters, it can fit into any places you want.
Featuring references of Citrus’ past, the bold and simple, yet distinctive lines of the LUMIERE spell out its future. The front and rear fascia features one bold line of light going from side to side, with three diagonal lines running down asymmetrically, as seen on older models as grilles. Particle bits line the grille and serve as accents, increasing presence and elegance.
The LUMIERE’s body lines are made with precision and ingenuity for aerodynamics, designed for lightness, minimum material usage, and minimum air resistance, all contributing to efficiency. At the same time, the rear quarter panels are designed to provide downforce at high speeds without spoilers or wings. All this is done while preserving interior space.
The LUMIERE represents a bold move from Citrus, taking idea of a solar vehicle tested and failed by various carmakers of the past. Featuring densely packed batteries and solar panels, it’s capable of charging its 600 km of range from sunlight alone. No need for plugging in or refueling.
Citrus never gave up on optimizing their combustion engines in combination with more and more efficient battery packs. We've produced one of the most fuel economic engines in history by combining
decades of experience in research and development to engineer the best for our travellers.
The all new TEMA sports a 1.4L engine combined with a 12kWh battery. A full tank and battery lasts for about 800km and gives a decent 230hp. With the latest technological develepmonts we came up with a a new way to fully charge the battery while driving through kinetic energy. You’ll never have to struggle with these plug-in cables again.
You’ve seen these illuminated grills? Well, we took it a step further and applied LED technology in our rims and window trims. You’ll bring light wherever you go.
With the advanced Citrus SANS MAINS Self-Driving technology, the TEMA is equiped with NextGen Ai powered camera's and even the most unpredictable and complex traffic situations are no issue to anticipate. No more worries about being stuck in traffic, just grab your coffee and lean back. The TEMA will take over for you.
A lack of natural light will not be an issue when driving the TEMA. The glass roof gives a beautiful panoramic view from the top and the unique windows in the doors give the back seat passengers an almost 180° viewing field of what's going on outside. If you like to enjoy more privacy, the windows can be darkened with a simple push of a button.
Designed by Looq in our Beijing studio, the Arkadium concept is a new B-segment sized EV representing the future of Citrus as a brand, with a focus on efficiency and aerodynamics, and maintaining select Citrus design cues, like purposeful asymmetry.
