New for 1998, the all-new SC series Shrike is so good, we reckon we can sell it on the merits of the base model alone. Coming in at a cool $16,900 AMU, it still has incredible standard features, such as a Paonner tuned stereo system, high-tech 3 speed automatic, power steering, ABS, and a driver’s airbag!
Power comes from a new for 1998 update of our venerable NM3 inline 3, making a sufficient 65kW and 112Nm of torque, it won’t break the bank with its 7.5L/100km fuel economy and low service costs, made possible thanks to the longitudinal front wheel drive layout, which also makes it much more engaging to drive.
The interior is impressive, too. With a finely sculpted dash clad in high-quality, hard wearing plastic, you also get large vents for the powerful heater and A/C, and of course our signature Electronic Program Control (EPC) system.* A large rear seat with ample legroom can also fold almost flat to make sure that cargo volume will never be an issue. EPC system only contains trip, odometer, and clock modes on the base model, calculator option $20 extra.
So what are you waiting for? Contact your local Aim dealer today to book a test drive, and who knows, you may end up too impressed by the base model not to get it.
I’m questioning myself here if I missed a line in the rules, so I’m just gonna ask it:
Is the desired body type a hatchback or like some of the entries, we can use whatever body type?
The Final Edition is the last-year version of Omni, released just a few months before its discontinuation, only available for sale in Europe. This particular variant featured a small but very economic 1.4L I4, slightly updated interior with additional speakers, fancy hubcaps, a manual transmission, additional A/C vents all around the car for cold Scandinavian weather and, most notably, a deep blue metallic color. The second generation of Omni would be entirely replaced in 2000, with the reveal of Omni Mk3.
Collaboration between @Ryan93 (engineering) and @Taffin_Blur (design).

1998 AT-lumi, the fun and cheap hatchback you wanted
1998 AT-lumi, the fun and cheap hatchback everyone wants. It's powered by a 2.5L turbo inline 4 engine making around 210hp, with an 4 speed advance automatic gearbox paired with an FWD system, it could reach 0-100 in just 9-10 seconds with a top speed of 220kph. It also have duel airbag safety system to protect you and your loved once. It also have a comfy interior including additional speakers and an updated A/C system.
btw, it also have a sport version with a improved engine, so why not go check it out?
It is now available at your local dealerships and on our website,
Fred is powered by the Freebanger, which makes 62.7hp, so Fred is very affordable to insure and yet it’s enough to accelerate Fred from 0-100km/h in a reasonable 12.3 seconds. This is thanks to Fred’s low weight and the 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel economy is also a very reasonable 5.0l/100km.
While the purchase price of 15,700$ is not the cheapest in the field, it’s still well inside Kasperi’s budget. And if you’re wondering where your money is going considering the small size of both the car and the engine, let me list some of the features included in the price:
Partial alu body panels, Front disc brakes, Standard interior, Standard CD, Variable hydraulic power steering, ABS and a manual locker for better off-roading.
In short, Fred is well-equipped for the price, practical, light and nimble, affordable to run and reliable.
