Brief History: Darkstrike Enterprises (often abbreviated D.E.) is a Canadian company founded in 1986 and has a penchant for producing small, reliable, but peppy automobiles. Although the company does stray from this philosophy on occasion, the majority of its vehicles are small cars / trucks / vans rather than larger vehicles of the “American” style. The head designers were inspired by the beginning of the Canadian population’s preference for smaller vehicles, rather than the usual reflection of American automotive tastes. Wanting to help steer people into following the more global trend (like the Europeans and Japanese) of smaller, but still capable, safe and sprightly vehicles, Darkstrike Enterprises is showing North American (and global!) consumers that the “Less is More” philosophy really can hold true. Currently, D.E. is focusing on a line of small sedans and hatchbacks, including several Kei-class vehicles destined for the Japanese market…a rarity as there are next to no manufacturers IMPORTING kei-spec cars into Japan for sale! The majority of D.E. engines focus on the 660cc to 2.5L size range, mostly all being Inline 4-cylinder motors.
Engine naming clarification is as follows for D.E. motors: Ex: N4I4T > N = “Normal” - an engine designed for normal sized vehicles. Other abbreviations include “K” here, indicating a design intended for use in Japanese Kei-class vehicles. 4 = This number denotes the evolution of this type of engine. Here, the “4” indicates that this is the 4th engine of it’s type in D.E.'s company history designed for this particular application. I4 = The engine design; I4 for an Inline-4, I6 for an Inline-6, V6 for a V6, V8 for a V8, etc. T = The engine’s intake type - “T” indicates a turbocharged engine, “NA” indicates a Naturally Aspirated model.
Darkstrike Enterprises Noen:
The Noen is D.E.'s attempt at a sporty, yet reliable line of 4-door FWD hatchbacks in 3 trim levels. All Noens come in either the “L”, “S”, or “SS” variants…“L” being the base trim with less options, and the “SS” being the sport-tuned performance trim. The “S” trim level takes the best of both worlds, providing some sporting pedigree, but at a more budget price than the “SS”. Some exterior styling details include some chrome trim on the front, and dual rear fog lights mounted in the bumper for higher visibility in inclimate weather. A small trunk-lid spoiler can also be found on “S” and “SS” models.

The “L” trim of the Noen is fitted with a peppy, fuel-sipping 1.4L N4I4NA engine, producing 109hp and 97.5 ft-lbs of torque.
The “S” trim of the Noen is fitted with the 1.4L N4I4T engine - an uprated, turbocharged version of the N4I4NA, producing 153hp and 138ft-lbs of torque.
The “SS” trim of the Noen is the most “hardcore” trim, forgoing the usual interior “pleasantries,” etc. for an overall faster, more performance-oriented car. The “SS” comes standard with D.E.'s 1.6L N5I4T engine, making 195hp and 158ft-lbs of torque.
